    You are a mage, but differ from most other mages. You were born under the sign of the Atronach, and are destined for power. You have the ability to absorb spells often, gaining magicka from them. Power often comes with a price however, and you are unable to regenerate magicka naturally.

    Your spells crackle with energy, damaging your foes as it burns away their magicka. You must use caution however and pace your magicka usage. You are experienced with using scrolls and other magical items when running low on magicka. You favor the alteration, destruction, and restoration schools of magic. You still use illusion and conjuration when needed though.

    As an Atronach Mage you must constantly be looking out for means of refilling your large reserves of magicka. You also like to seek out sources of power such as tomes and artifacts. This can often result in you chasing after evil mages or plumbing the depths of an ancient ruin. There is rumor of a staff that allows one to drain the magicka directly from someone. Such a staff would be a great source of power. 


    Character Details

    Race: Altmer or Breton.

    Altmer are natural spellcasters, with innate bonuses to several spell schools. With their bonus magicka and racial ability 'Highborn' that refills their magicka, makes them excellent candidates for this role. Breton is a worthwhile race as well, having innate bonuses to some spell schools. Their 'Dragonskin' racial ability grants the caster a temporary fifty percent spell absorption which stacks with other absorption effects.

    Stone: Atronach Birthsign

    Your character was born under the Atronach birthsign. As such, you do not naturally regenerate magicka. Instead, you have a natural fifty percent spell absorption, as well as increased magicka reserves. (This is done via my mod, Atronach Birthsign. It changes the stone effect to the birthsign effect from Oblivion.)

    Major Skills: Alteration, Destruction, Restoration, Enchanting.

    Minor Skills: Conjuration, Illusion, Alchemy, Smithing.

    Shrine Blessing: Julianos.

    Shouts: Storm Call, Become Ethereal.

    Essential Quests: College of Winterhold.

    Perks: Level forty perks can be found here.

    Equipment: Zahkriisos Mask

    Followers: Fellow college students.

    Roleplay: Search out for sources of magical power. Evil mages, magical items, tomes, etc.


    Combat Details 

    As you have no natural magicka regeneration, you will need to be cautious in your expenditure. Be sure to make use of staves and scrolls to assist in fighting when a magicka source is not near. It is also advised to take up alchemy so that you can craft magicka potions for emergencies. The true strength of the build is shown however when around sources of magicka. When you fight against mages, dragons, and other enemies with spells, your magicka will be constantly replenished as they try to fight you. Once you have obtained the staff of legend, you can use it to directly drain the magicka from enemies as well. 

    Spells:

    Shock Cage – Lightning binds the target, making them unable to move while taking shock damage.

    [Wall of Storms + Paralysis]

    Storm Well – Lightning activates a rune, triggering it causing it to explode and damage those nearby.

    [Lightning Rune + Lightning Bolt]

    Atronach Boon – A lightning atronach is summoned with increased toughness to last longer in fights.

    [Atronach + Courage]

    Storm Shield – Envelops the caster in a protective shield of lightning that damages nearby enemies.
