.. Lets talk about these haters.

  • I was looking at the Bethblog today and I happened to click and read one of them. Unfortunately I scrolled down and read some comments....

Here's one that really angered me.

"You Bethesda rascals!!!Your game is the most unstable game I’ve EVER played. You should be ashamed of yourself’s.Bad coding, bad UI,short boring main quest…And you kicked me out of your forums!!!"- said AngryDirtyBird

He shouldn't be raging. He isn't raging because the game is unstable, he is raging because he got kicked out of the forums and is having a 5 year old tantrum.

It makes me angry that Bethesda poured themselves into this game for many years and people aren't satisfied with it. Seriously kids, go play MW3 and have your rage on there servers.

There's a difference between "I'm sad theres bugs lets complain" anger and "Its not working for these reasons: BLAH BLAH BLAH. I think if you would fix it, it would be great. Thanks for making a wonderful game" righteous anger.

    Here's righteous anger:

"While all that is wonderful I just want to play the bloody game. Each post with smiley faces makes me a little bit bitter. I’ll hop on the hug train when I’ve managed to get more than a handful of quests done which seems to be sometime after January. I’d love someone to say more than “We are aware some people are having trouble with [insert a few issues]”.

Something more like “Yes, we made a mistake but now we are going to do all we can to correct it.” There hasn’t seemed to be a direct confession, only more examples of grinning faces. I don’t think the people involved in the story and coding, etc, are laughing at us – they want us to enjoy the game they poured their effort into – I’m not saying that. Somebody screwed a pooch though and it would be lovely to hear from them. You’d probably leave yourself open to some angry folk trying to sue you so I guess I can kind of understand why you haven’t.

BioWare were acting pretty similar with their recent fudge up (Dragon Age 2). At least with you dudes it is simply a problem with playability (is that even a word) and not some project leader bending loyal fans over and giving them a good seeing to in the sense of the entire feel of the game."

That comment is righteous, I totally would agree with him. What do you guys think about these .... haters.

People just need to calm down and look at whats actually been accomplished in a game of this size. Bethesda broke trend by creating Skyrim for the ps3 and xbox, they usually wait for the next generation console so it can handle performance better.

Do you know how you can tell that a game is brilliant? When it has this many flaws and you STILL spend  hours on hours playing it!

I know what you mean Darvakiin
It's a truly depressing experience to spend any time on Bethesda forums at the moment, which is a shame because it really ought to be a place to get information and tips.

Meh, some people have shitty computers and blame the developer for their misfortune.  Those people are either poor or fools.  I've had maybe 5-7 crashes in 208 hours of gameplay, which is super-stable compared to nearly any other game I've played.
