The Journal of an Argonian Thief Part 1 Chapter 6

  •      I barely got any sleep that night. I acted like I was asleep in my bed so I could think and lye awake. I thought about me going to this place called Solitude in the north. I thought about what would happen to Nakuma. I thought about what would happen to me if I joined Ja-ree and The Raiders. I decided that I needed my rest and fell asleep for 4 hours before waking up to nobody else in that room. I walked outside into the main hall in the inn. Nobody was in there. I walked outside quickly. Nobody. I walked back in hoping for a surprise. Nothing. I went searching around the inn and found a note. It read,"We have taken your friends and the people in the inn. If you want to see any of them safe you will come just north of Falkreath in the Pine Forest. Signed, Bandit Chief Ja-ree". I was so shocked I sat down and cried for a minute. But I knew I had to go. I pulled my self together and packed up my belongings. I headed out.

I hiked just north of Falkreath in the Pine Forest were Ja-ree instructed me to go. I saw a large fort after awhile of hiking. The fort was fully barely intact. I walked into the fort. I guessed they didn't need to lock it because they were so full of themselves. I continued down the hall looking in cages for any signs of Nakuma. I kept going. Then I heard something. It sounded like a muffled scream. I ran towards the sound hoping I would get to rescue everybody and be named the hero of Falkreath. I was stopped short. A large bandit Orc with a battle ax came up to me and swung. I dodged just in time but I then realized this was the same bandit Orc that killed my Khajiit family. My hatred for this lousy piece of dirt raised so high that my adrenaline started pumping through my body. I pulled dagger out and stabbed the piece of trash so many times I forgot what my main objective was. I stabbed him in the head one more time before settling down. There was blood on my clothes and spreading through the floor. I almost gagged from the smell but continued on.

"So it was Ja-ree's bandit clan that killed my family and got Falkreath in this situation", I thought to myself. I wanted Ja-ree's head so bad after I realized what he had done. When I got into a rather large room filled with cages I realized the cages were full. Of Falkreath. I went looking through the cages. I saw the Nord man Roggard, the inn keeper, and other faces of Falkreath bruised and battered. Just the I heard, "Looking for this?". I turned to see who it was but in my mind I already knew. "Ja-ree put her down. "Oh i'd rather not I have...plans...for this one. Ogrug, Thetri come take care of this one." Then two bandits came out. An Orc who I guessed was Ogrug and a Breton who I guessed was Thetri. The Orc was rather small for an Orc. He had large arms though. He wore hide armor and carried a Great-sword. The Breton Thetri was dressed like a mage with a black robe and sandals. Probably a Necromancer by the looks of him. I knew I had to take him out first so he didn't summon any undead or anything. Too late. He cast a quick spell and up rose and undead. A dragur I think they're called. I pulled my sword and dagger and charged.

I quickly took out the dragur with a swing of my sword and a stab of my dagger, and charged the mage. He put up a ward spell but that didn't keep me from running into him, sword first. He fell to the ground dead. I backed up just in time so I didn't get my head chopped up by that sword. Instead the Orc left his sword in the Breton and charged me with his fists. I ducked and held my dagger above my head. The Orc couldn't stop fast enough and the dagger hit him right between the legs. I howled out in pain but I cut him short by stabbing my sword through his neck. I saw Ja-ree running down another hall and charged after him. I caught up to him quickly because Nakuma was slowing him down. He threw her down and ran away. I got to Nakuma and told her to wait here maybe go unlock the cages if she could. Then I continued after Ja-ree. Even without holding Nakuma he was still slow. I caught him from behind and knocked him down. I held my dagger up to his throat.

"Woah watch were you hold that thing kid". "Shut up Ja-ree I know what you did and you'll pay". Ja-ree sighed and said,"Downed by a 13 year old kid how embarrassing. I looked at him surprised and said, "How do you know my age scumbag?". "I know because I knew your mother personally. Guess what kid "I'M YOUR FATHER!". He yelled to me. I backed away from him bewildered by what he just said. "No you can't be it can't be true, and I yelled as loud as I could, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!. I got back on him and held my dagger to his throat. "Take back what you just said". "I cant it's true...son", he said with a large smile on his face. I cut his chest, not killing him but hurting him, and ran. "Nakuma I got the keys unlock the cages". She did and the people of Falkreath ran out of the fort. "Took ya long enough kid", Roggard said with a smile. "Go", I told him. He went and we went with him. As soon as we walked out of the fort I knew I would have to go back another time. But for now we headed back to Falkreath to sleep.

Arike, you are great with these unexpected twists!  Ja-ree unfortunately is a real piece of work, so Rakhem has tough road ahead of him.  Too bad he cannot keep Ja-ree tied up and feed on him every once in awhile to satisfy his blood thirst.
