Hear me out though, Alteration is amazing. Water walking and breathing, open locks, feather spells (so handy), and most importantly the numerous magical shields. Fire/frost/shock/physical, you name it, all useless against a Master of Alteration!
Aegis was my favorite spell (50% shield).  

I'd have to say the rumored teleport (behind your opponent) shout sounds like the bomb. 15x sneak damage dagger on a stealth/thief with teleport behind an enemy w/o them noticing. Awe yeah.

I liked summoning the Scamp and Skeletons in Oblivion. Gotta love having backup in battles.

My favorite was from Morrowind.  I like the levitation spell because I could whack someone in the head then float above them, outta reach, and pelt the with arrows.  It was kinda cheap but fun non the less. 

I don't really like using magic all that much..............but in Oblivion, I enjoyed the spells where you can make things float and throw them. It was pretty sweet.
