The Dockworker: Author's Note: Premonitions

  • Okay, so I've been gone some time...

I fear my absence may tax the resilience of my readers, but nonetheless, I hope this missive finds you alive, well, and thoroughly untainted by the stink of sweaty Noses.

I had, as many of you suspected several months ago, planned on doing a series on Dragonborn, since it is quite excellent DLC. However, as I began playing, taking screens, and thinking of the story, I realized there was no way to turn it into a meaningful plot that could stand on its own. Dragonborn is simply too focused, too direct, for me to inject something new into it. The Dockworker can only make so many dry comments about dead people before it gets old very, very fast. What little story would remain would be nothing new to all of you, so it didn't seem worth it.

    Does that mean I'm done?

    No.

I have plans, yet. Not quite fully formed at the moment, no, but in development. I don't want to give anything away, especially not in these early stages, but let me just say that the Dockworker, though a sneaky fellow, has not, in his wanderings, gone unnoticed.

Okay, fine, here's the other reason I didn't do Dragonborn--that green light in the sky that covers everything? It makes for terrible screenshots.
