Imperial Legate Erendur Report 4 Assignment: The Rift/Attack Fort Amol

  • Five score men out of eight score were left under my command. Derkeethus is now out finding the body of our latest test failure. I believe his man's name was Holdan Shatter-Cloak. Just one more letter I have to wirite to a new widow. I may have lost sixty men, but the one hundred that survived are more elite than the Penitus Oculatus, maybe even the long gone blades.....

Ah! A courier, and just in time for dinner, the poor boy looks starved. My he is a strong willed one. He turned down a plate of steaming food to finish his errands. But never mind him, I have new orders to march on Fort Amol. Why Tulius wants me to march from here to Easrmarch I will never know. My best guess is Legate Rikke is taking it easy in the Eastmarch lying out her ass to get ouut of this assignment. Derkeethus has returned, time to tell him the new orders and rally a few troops for the march.

Four hours of marching and we are finnally here at Fort Amol. I will rest the troops until the sun is about to set, that is when we'll attack. There is more to why I want to wait until sunset. I really want to see what the enemies blood looks like in evening sunlight with a background of the autumn like forest. Full of hues of brown, red, and yellows. I think that blood glinting in evenings sunlight would intensify the beauty.

Aye its time. I have chosen to send me, Derkeethus, and five Legionares at a time. The other twenty Legionares will attack in waves. Offering reinforcements and a distraction at the same time. Off we go!

HaHa! Another gods given victory! I took out seven men at once. They charged at me and I took a step back, crouched down, and lunged sword first into ones neck. I then came back and slashed the head off the next, bring my shield up to break the neck of another. Then I switched to my bow and with two arrows took out three more. My first arrow passed a legionars head and struck home in a stormcloaks heart and the second caught a stormcloak in the head, and as he flew back his limp body knockced another stormcloak of of the walls. The final was killed by my shoving the tip of my bow down his throat.

Don't mistake these for my only kills but they were my favorites.

I sent word to the rest of my men in the Rift to march to Amol and garrison it until we march on Windhelm. Glorious battle it will be. I know it!

I remember you've said in Dro-ma's journal you write at the same pace as you play. I've read all the posts in a time and it's as easy to read as it was easy to play.
