Let's just be friends! This guy reached Level 9 as a pacifist character...

  • Here's something really, really interesting I spotted.

A YouTube user called WestSideLuigi has uploaded a video of how his character has got to level 9 as a 100% total pacifist. Yes, that's right - he hasn't killed a single creature, NPC or animal. He doesn't even kill undead. Nor does he use companions to do his dirty work for him.

Take a look at this video.

So, my question for you guys today is - have you ever tried anything like this? I think it looks fun. Obviously you're never going to remotely complete the main quest doing this, but for a second or subsequent play through it seems like an interesting challenge.

See, this is why I love Elder Scrolls. You really can play as anything, and create all kinds of crazy character concepts. Even if you have never tried a pacifist, are there other wild and super-challenging character builds that you have tried in Skyrim?

I would think Unrelenting Force would be really useful for this guy.  Knock those Druagr right out of your way without killing them!  Kind of like using Buddha's Palm.  Maybe too unpredictable, though.

For my next character I'm going to remove my "A" key so I can't strafe left.

i don't know if he uses frenzy, but he needs a spell that makes things commit suicide and then he'd have it made.

Yes, created a pacifist alchemist in Oblivion, he hated fighting and would only do so to defend himself if running was not an option. He was not quite as a holy as this monk, but was definitely not a fighter, just a guy trying to make it by selling potion...  more

This is so awesome and shows what you can do with TES characters. I had never thought of doing a pacifist monk but having seen this - I am now.

Does it count as a kill if you use frenzy and the NPCs kill each other?

Very interesting choice he made. Definitely requires a bit of planning to make the right build.
Hopefully someone can make a list of all the skills required to make the perfect pacifist character. Let's all be friends!

I was actually thinking about this yesterday -- creating a pacifist type character. It looks like a fun challenge and would definitely be interesting and entertaining.

How do you even do this? Kudos to making it that far without killing a single soul. I could never do that, as a Redguard warrior it is pretty much in my character's blood to kill as much as possible.

To be honest, I actually find this to be an easier style of play for dungeons(well, at least some of them). This is what I would do in Oblivion when I didn't feel like spending time on a dungeon, just run like hell, grab the loot, and get the fuck out.
