The Skyrim Blog reaches 1000 members

  We've now been 'live' as a site for just a few hours over nine days - and I have, within the last few minutes, validated our 1000th member....

  It's been a hectic week or so on this site, with the challenges of getting things up and running on a software platform that I knew very little about when I started out.

  Somehow we managed to get the job done, and I think we can all give ourselves a pat on the back for what we achieved.

  Why do I say 'we'? Because, if you haven't noticed, this site had a HUGE change of gear nine days ago. We transitioned from being a single person blog where I was personally responsible for ALL the content, to a social site where much of the content is user-generated.

  Let me give you some statistics to back that up. We've currently got 302 blogs on site, of which I have written 29. I'll do the math for you - that means you guys have contributed 273 blogs. We've got 63 videos of which I uploaded one (the first one...just see that it worked!), and there are 285 photos (again I uploaded just the first one). Add in the plethora of comments, status updates, forum posts, group activity and its easy to see that a very proportion of this site is the work of the community that has gathered here.

  So we ALL deserve the plaudits for the success of the site thus far!

  Thanks to everyone who has contributed. We've had a few (only a few) awkward moments where people have got a little bit ...er... 'excitable', but generally its been an absolute blast!
