Just speculating....

  • Okay this is a pretty far fetched theory I just came up with, but I wanted to share it with you guys.

I was looking through the new artwork when I came across the image below. The Amulet of Talos. As we know, Talos was the first Emperor ever. He was also a dragonborn, and the lore says only dragonborns can light the dragonfires to become an Emperor. The only problem with becoming an Emperor in the Fourth Era is that the Amulet of Kings was detroyed at the end of the Third Era. Here comes my theory: Could this Amulet of Talos become the next Amulet of Kings and the player become the new Emperor? I have wondered about the player maybe becoming the new Emperor for a while, but this artwork fills the only gap my theory had (according to me); the lost Amulet of Kings.

Am I the only one who deems this plausible? Please share your thoughts or your own theory!

It's an interesting speculation, and certainly possible
However I hope they don't go down this path. The whole 'magical amulet that can solve our problems has been done' hasn't it? I'd rather see something fresh....

Given what little we know about the Nordic civil war (pro-Empire faction vs. destroy-that-tired-old-Empire faction), what you suggest is possible for ONE side of the conflict.  If Dovahkiin sides with the Empire, I think it would be very plausible he'd en...  more

Actually I kind of of hope not. it got kind of redundant when you ended up the leader of everything in Oblivion.

Interesting theory. I think it could be possible, in fact I think it is so possible that I am warning you now if it turns out that your speculations were correct expect me to be back yelling at you for the spoilers ^.^ Though I think there may be multiple...  more

after catering to martin's needs in the last game, i doubt it. fable 3 had the same concept. I enjoyed it. i would love to be emperor. but, because of fable they might not take that route. but, they did incorporate some fable attributes this time around. ...  more

I'm not too big on TES lore, just basic stuff and what I learned from endless hours of Morrowind and Oblivion, but I trust your lore is correct. And when you mention it, and I think about it, that does seem highly possible. Maybe the Civil war in the game...  more
