I am all new to this site, but i want to share my self written story, it is inspierd by The Elder Scrolls univers and i hope you guys will enjoy :)
A cure for Vampireism
As you look upon the land, and as the sun is rising, you see the line dividing the land. a line that marks the end of winter and the beginning of summer.
a line that divines the old and the new. a line of Evil, you think.
As you stand ontop of the montain you also notice the sudden change of the weather on the winter-side of the line. As the sun slowly rises above the horizon
a set of clouds moves over the land and brings with it a foul shadow.
Odd as this might look, you think to youreself that stranger things have happend in the past. As the words fly by your mind, you remember.. you remember everything.
You remember how you closed the Oblivion gates, the very first fight against a Dragon and most importantly, you remember the moments in between. the moments that
would haunt you forever, the loss of your loved onse.
As time has passed, you have seen the world change, you have seen races rise to power only to fall at the bottom. You, out of all have lived through time like if it was water, washing
against your boddy. After a while the water gets colder and harder, but you yet stand.
A burning sensation goes through your boddy, as you snap back to reality. The sun has reachd the point you are standing on, and your skin has started to burn. You quikly
walk into the shadow of a tree, and continue to look upon the land. You spot a road leading over the line, from one side to the other, and on the summer side you can see a town. You imidietly think about going to the chapel to continue your search for a cure, a cure against Imortality and strength, a cure against Vampireism. Yet, you hesitate, its been 3 days since you last fed upon another human-being and your face has lost its "Nordic" charms.
After giving the matter some thought you have desided to make your way down the montain and towards the town, you take the way that leads into the forest to keep away from the burning sun.
The way down the montain goes fast, but at the same time it feels as if you are still up on the montain, the thoughts of the old times, of the 3Era, can't seem to slip out of your mind.
By the time you reach the forest at the foot of the montain, your instincts kick in. You detect life. it has been a while since this instinct has been used, last time was three days ago, while out hunting for "deer". You still remember the suprised face on the hunter, as you came walking out of the light.
The life force you detect seems to be that of huge man. you cannot quite tell what it is, but if you want to get to the chapel in town to learn about a cure, you will need your "human apparance" back, or the guards will shoot you on sight. Besides, the hunger for blood has only increasd as time has passed. As you stand there, thinking about what to do, the life force is moving away, and you deside to follow it. You still can't tell what it is, but it is huge.
After a while you catch up to the sorce of the life force, and to your suprise its a bear. It hasn't noticed you, but it looks hungry. Trying to kill it would be foolish, you are but 1 man armed with a Silver dagger and dressed in a black cloak. As you try and get closer to it, you detect a second life force in the area, it seems to be smaller, but it might be an easier prey then this bear.
At the moment you turn around to make your way towards the other life force, you hear the bear growl loudly, and without any second thoughts, you run, you run as fast as your legs can carry you! Behinde you, the bear is wrecking its way towards you, and as you pass a rather larg tree, you turn to the left and start to run against the lesser life force.
You are completly lost, you have no idea where you are or where you are headed. You run through a few bushes and as you do so, you detect two more life forces. it seems that theres 3 all togheter, and that they are humans, probebly a hunting party. If that is true then they can help with this bear. You turn your head while running to see how close the bear is, and as you do so you hear a scream:
"We got an angry bear headed our way, get ready!"
You turn your head forward again and you can see three hunters standing at what looks like a camp-site. The bear manages to hit you, and you fly into a tree and everything goes black.
You try to focus and open your eyes, you see the bear killing one of the hunters while the 2 others are running for it. The bear follows them, leaving the other hunter to die. Seeing this as an oppertunity to get away from all this chaos, you quikly get on your feet and start to make your way in the opposite direction, but you stop. The hunter is still alive, your hunger is intense. you can sense hes life force running out, and you think to youreself that he is dead one way or the other. you turn around and walk towards him, the hunter opens hes eyes. hes face is bloddy, and he is missing an arm. he trys to talk, and the only words you can get out of the noises he makes are "my wife... love..". Hes eyes closes as he gives you an amulet. And as he does so, hes life force drops, and you strike..
The feeling and taste of flesh and blood, of regaining lost strength, to feel your face change, to feel.. good! you had almost forgoten, its like heavy chains have been lifted. You still wish there was another way for this to go. even for a dying man, being bit by a Vampyr such as youreself is a fate worse then death, atleast he doesn't get to experiance that.
its only after you rise up that you actually acknowledge the exsistence of the amulet you are holding. the amulet has a locket, and inside it is a picture of what looks like a woman wearing a robe. the picture is old but you can make out the church behinde her, maybe she can be helpfull. you climb a tree to get your surroundings, and then make your way towards the town.
