Don't buy the game if you are just going to boost...

  • Alright so I’m sure everyone in the world of skyrim has probably by now figured some way to get some of their skills to level one hundred. I have read several things on here that talk about how awesome it is to boost and increase your level by like 40. Now wait, let’s think for a second, what does finding a glitch in the game so that you can level up a million levels instantly sound like opposed to actually doing what the game was designed for and explore and fight new creatures. Like come on seriously? That’s just wasting your money on the game and its cheating. Now obviously skyrim is a free roam game and you can do whatever you please. Blah blah blah. But those of you boosters out there what’s the actual point of buying the game if you’re just going cheat. I mean, what fun is that? Okay so those of you who read this, booster or non-booster, share your thoughts and tell me how you feel about this.

I think if someone wants to spend their time in a game doing something that isn't fun, then I don't really care.  I've tried falsely raising some of my stats, but it gets boring REAL quick - but, I can't really judge how fun this may be for someone else -...  more

I think boosting is perfectly fine and fun I don't beleive I'm cheating myself out of a good game or making the game less fun at all when I do it, in fact it makes the game even more fun for me. especialy since I've beaten the game quite a few times, I've...  more

I train 5 times every level and i use every honest way lo level swiftly my character in those abilities that are vital to him. i don`t use glitches but i plan carefully the most efficient way to level up. I think i do that in real life too and it would be...  more

I will sometimes alter my starting equipment for role-playing purposes, but it'll be the same monetary value or less (I've had over 20 characters and yet to do it with Skyrim, but I probably will at some point). I never take advantage of a glitch (such as...  more

I wish there was a way to skip like the first two hours of the game when you start a new character.

I have always played the game normally without any kind of boosting. Last night I started a new character and "boosted" my way to level 4 by attacking Hadvar before leaving the first room in the Helgen Keep. Though the reason I did this is to help keep co...  more

I dont agree with boosting or power levelling it was one of the reasons i stopped playing cod. Im a naturalist at heart. Surely boosting your character before you start the game is a little bit naughty. Isnt the idea to develop your character as you go al...  more

I'll give you an example of how i play:
For my current character, an Alik'r redguard, i went straight to a location near Dawnstar and got myself a Scimitar, I then went to Solitude and got myself the full Redguard outfit. Since then ive play...  more

I appreciate both of your comments and feedback and to some extent can see where mason is coming from that its not cheating but also I agree with you vix because it is basically like they are cheating themselves out of the good experience of the game.

Power leveling isn't a glitch, its just another way to play the game. Its also not cheating, if you want to get very good at a skill you practice it over and over, just like in real life. Many of the high end perks that really define a persons character c...  more
