Droplets of Heaven

  • *Droplets of Heaven*

The nightowls watch over me, as I swim in moonlit rivers
Motherly forest caresses me, enclosed in loving safety
While they lay in dreams, my heart awakes with desire
As I am engulfed by the stars, eyes begging for a tear

The world purest at night, nocturnal gathering
Hatred and jealousy sleep, ambition and deception rest
Under the mournful moon, among the autumn trees
I see my spirit transcend, content, laughing, I with him

There he is battered, bleeding, choked breathless
I fear not, for gentle nightbreeze will guide him
There he shivers, unknown to the fires of existence
I care not, for the mighty dusk will free him

Steadily I rise above, to a land beyond time's shackles
The nightwind carries me far, away from earthly woes
Droplets of heaven await me, as I lose this material shape
One with everlasting night, I come to be.....never to return forever

Where crystal waters look innocent to wise clouds
Caviler I will swim, among oceans of tranquil waves
I will watch as the pain is melted, it's anger calmed
Triumphant I will make my way.....onto my new dusk-home

Very nice poem. I like the imagery.
