Will Skyrim's Release Quiet the Crowd?

  • I was just thinking... with the much anticipated release of the game for which we've all assembled, this site is much a buzz. But once Friday gets here, will the activity on this site go down to near nothing? I mean, if you are engaged here, then you are NOT playing Skyrim, right? Maybe a two day lull in activity, or do you anticipate just the opposite? Thoughts?

I anticipate that the lull in activity will last at least the weekend.  You will still see the hardcore original members checking in, but a lot of people will just PLAY!

When I first get the game, I wont come back here for the first day or so. Unless I have a particularly hard quest that I spend like an hour trying to complete and just cant do it. Otherwise I'd come back in about two days time.
So yeah, I think you're right.

I imagine people will want to talk to others about quests they have seen, items they obtained, ask questions about lore as people get into the ES again. They might want to ask about quests, maybe what level they were before they were able to complete it b...  more

Yeh, I expect a drop-off for the few days to a week after release, then a slow ramping back up as members begin to post and follow blogs to see what others are doing/experiencing.
