We do have to remember that the game is scaled down to have more personality and substance.  Cities and towns are smaller than what they should be along with the entire province.  So battles are going to be smaller representations of what they really are....  moreWe do have to remember that the game is scaled down to have more personality and substance.  Cities and towns are smaller than what they should be along with the entire province.  So battles are going to be smaller representations of what they really are.  The battle for Whiterun would have involved thousands of troops on both sides.  It probably is the biggest battle seeing that both sides were closer to equal strength.  With all that said, I agree that some more troops are needed overall, but I would like to also see more formations, troop types, and military behaviour.  There will always be more that Bethesda can build on, so in the meantime all we can do is hope and pray they address the wants that each and every one of us has.   less

yes but it would make the game lag more but i think they should at least try. like in oblivion when you gather troops from all the cities to build an army but it was only like 20 soldiers, when the fight started (on my ps3 dunno about xbox360) it was lag city.

I think they put that number of guys in your game on purpose, since current generation consoles are using 6+ year old tech.
