The Nords of Skyrim

  • This is to be my first addition to The Skyrim Blog. Not much to say about this. I guess I'll start that this was just an on-the-fly test run, and I decided to make my first post a poem about the hardy Nords. I hope all that read this enjoy.

    Hardy north-men of snowy peaks,

Hailing from 'cross the deadly sea,

Conquerors of the now-blind and weak,

Strong men that brave the harsh ice.

Callous hands that forge their iron and steel,

Wielded by men, strong-willed and determined,

Continue the onslaught 'til their enemies keel,

Frost in their veins, fire in their eyes.

    Worshiping beasts of the sky,

Era Merethic until they did overthrow the domination,

With the power of Tongues gifted by Kyne,

Their battle cries now deadlier than the strike.

Era, now fourth, they do wage war,

    'Gainst their brothers and sisters,

Battles that split the soil evermore,

Empire of oppression, Stormcloak against leads aggression.

Fear! For the World Eater hath return,

To devour men and mer battle-torn,

Through Nordic prophecy the wheel does now turn,

Upon Dov-ah-kiin, man of the snowy north,

    Last Dragonborn.

Thank you so much, Chronicler and LokaCola!
I didn't expect this much positive feedback, to be honest. I may have doubted my abilities as a poet, it seems.

No, I do not, AJ. Not as often as I should.
    Thank you, MadHatter.
