The Norse gods in Skyrim

    I've been building the entire slate of Norse gods.  

    For me, it's turning the game into amazingly fun role playing and character building effort.

    Here's the approach I'm using for the characters I''m working on.  Suggestions/questions are welcome. 

    The Aesgir tribe is Nord.  Vanir tribe is Imperial/Breton.  Jotunn (all types) are Mer (all types).  

    Here's the racial breakdown of the gods:

    • Odin - Nord
    • Thor - Nord
    • Baldr - Nord
    • Tyr - Nord
    • Loki - Altmer 
    • Freyr - Imperial
    • Freyja - Breton
    • Heimdallr - Khajiit (Son of Nine Mothers)
    • Hel - Orc (Loki's Daughter)
    • Jormungandr  - Argonian (Loki's Son, the great snake)
    • Fenrir - Redguard / Werewolf (Loki's Son, the great wolf)
    • Skadi  - Bosmer  (Hunting Jotunn)
    • Surtr -  Dunmer (Fire Jotunn)

    So far, they work amazing well in their respective roles.  More on the specific builds for each later.

    Hello Blackops. Blog posts are typically reserved for fiction stories or other works, not general updates on builds.
    I would ask that you repost this as a discussion elsewhere, perhaps within the character building group.

    @Garthar -just play on novice, you won't die.
    - two more i'd like to see: Ullr and Njord.
    - Other than that im looking forward to these builds very much.

    Aye, but it was weird for me to see them die by a random lowly bandit.

    These are norse gods.  They act like human beings and they die.

    Hmm... I tried making a norse god once, but I gave it up. As a norse heathen, it was to awkward for me to roleplay a god while only being level 2. After the first deaths I deleted the save. :P
