So after my summoner-in-training got the Temple Priest Robes, I went to join the College of Winterhold, saw Savos Aren outside the College, and realized, "Why kill a temple priest to get a robe like this when I can eventually acquire the Archmage's Robes?"

What was your incentive, Alastor?

1. Aesthetics. I've always hated the Archmage Robes and the Temple Robes look perfect for what I envision as a High Summoner.

2. You can obtain the Temple Priest Robes immediately . I like that about a CB's gear.

3. I never use it but I don't know if you can use the Aetherial Crown with the Archmage's Robes(?) because of it's hood. Mainly aesthetics though :)

Everything about this build screams awesome. I rarely ever try out other people's builds but I would gladly add this to my list of must plays.

3. You can. It sucks on females though, the crown clps through the back of the hood. Looks awesome on males 

When I tried using the restoration potion and re-equipping the armor the enchantments went back to normal when the potions wore off, anyone know why?

Because the stats on the armor won't be shown as boosted, but if you check in the active effects menu, it will show up as boosted versions of the enchantments. If that makes sense.

Yep, what Lord Plagus said. Drink the Fortify Resto potion and re-equip your enchanted apparel. Wait an hour. Now check your equipment menu as opposed to the effects under the active effects menu. It should be different.
