Hello everyone and welcome to the latest Character Building Event! Before we get started, I’d like to thank everyone who participated in our recent Holds contest! Entries for the contest just closed, and we’ll be announcing the winners in one week’s time. I’d also like to thank TwistedOrthrus, as this event theme was his idea. Now then, I’m sure that you want to know the details of this event, but before I explain that, I’d like to talk about the contest some more.
The reason why myself and the other CB hosts decided to start doing the contests again was for two reasons. The first was to help the CB Group get some of that competitive spirit back, and the second was to encourage people to collaborate in the hope of creating a truly great build. It’s with the latter of these reasons in mind that we decided on this latest event theme.
For this event, you can create anything you want. We’re serious; as long as it follows the usual rules for event builds (see below), it’s fair game. The catch? You have to work on your build with at least one other person. Also, while it’s not required, the eldritch gods benevolent spirits of character building smile upon those who create a quirky, nifty, and/or spiffy name for their team.
Don’t have anyone to work with? Simply say so in the comments below so someone else can recruit you for their team.
Rules and Requirements
- Participants that are new to character building must read and understand both the Group Rules and Character Building Guide. I also recommend that you take a look at this Build Template in order to get a good idea of how to format your event build.
- You must work on your event build with at least one other person.
- Participants must post in the comments below the names of the people they’re working with, as well as their team name (if applicable).
- Event builds must be posted between the 1st of October, 12:00 AM EST and the 8th of October, 12:00 AM EST.
- Event builds must use the “Event Build:” prefix in their title rather than the normal “Character Build:” one.
- Event builds must have an event rank tag and use the “Event:Teams” tag. All other tags are allowed to be applied, with the exception of the rank tags for normal character builds.
