Character Building Event: Classes

Welcome to the third Character Building event! This time, we have chosen the theme of Classes and we hope that will get the gears in your head ticking! We've all played an archtype in Skyrim, but have you ever recreated a mage from Oblivion perfectly? Or what about a Acrobat from Daggerfall?

The choice is all yours. There is no limitations on items, race, skills or perks. You decide what your class will be and live through it. All games are open to interpretation, whether it be a main game or a spin-off.

'Classes' will be very similar to our previous event 'Factions'. While it holds a central theme, builders can spread their wings and take off with a large variety of choices. The only restriction is that the class MUST exist within an Elder Scroll game - It cannot be one created purely for the event or from another RPG.

Interpreting your class into Skyrim will require skill and creativity -- How will an Acrobat from Morrowind fight without his trusty spear? How will a Burglar from Arena survive a hard fight? And how will these new characters all react to the freedom in Skyrim?

    Rules and Requirements

    • Your chosen class MUST be a pre-made player-only class in any other Elder Scrolls Game.

    • Completed builds must be submitted between the 14th and 20th of July. Build posted before and after these dates cannot use the 'Event Build:' prefix or the event tag.

    • To deter poor entries your build must contain 1200 words or more.

    • All builds are still subject to normal group guidelines and rules.

    • Your build must range between level 40 - 55. No more, no less.

    • Event builds cannot be ranked and must use the 'Event:Classes' tag rather then a rank tag. All normal tags can still be applied.

Both Billy Mays and I will be happy to point folks in the right direction if you need some tips or advice, but we will not write it for you. Feel free to message us if you need some assistance with your builds.

    Resources

    Previous game classes:

    Arena ~ Daggerfall ~ Battlespire ~ Shadowkey ~ Morrowind ~ Bloodmoon ~ Oblivion ~Online

All of the above are the only games to contain pre-defined classes, most of the others only had the basic archtypes of the warrior, the thief or the mage.

Is it too late to announce I'd like to participate? I'd like to do a build on the Agent of Morrowind - and no adaptations, I'm following the Morrowind skill-set to the letter, to the point of (pretty tightly) following the Major-Minor skill division.

So, am I in?  My playtest is currently at level 15 or so. I've been thinking about the build ever since this event was announced - just needed to test it first to see that I can actually make a character with those skills.

(As a side note, I would REALLY have liked to do a build on Morrowind's Necromancer NPC class... But Agent is fine too The playstyle is a refreshing change from my usual mage-y playthroughs)

Hey guys, I have a problem with my Templar. So, I'm doing the quest to find Rayda's necklace for Narfi right? So, I can't decide whether to tell the poor guy she's dead, which may he true, but it coild lead him to kill himself or just ruin his mid and life even more, or lie, saying she's coming soon, which while it would give him false hope, would make him more, lively, and he might go into town more.

Well, it depends, is he a lot more serious, get the job done kind of person? If so tell him she died. If your character has a lot more more heart though, and tries to care for people, then tell him she'll be there soon. This is my personal recommendation, I take no responsibility for any end results :P

Well, he's a nice guy at heart, but he has done whatever it takes to make sure no evil threatens Nirn, which has placed a lot of guilt on his conscience. For instance, his biggest guilt was having to burn down a town because it had been overwhelmed by Daedra, and corrupted by a general in Molag's army, the Daedra were routed, by hundreds of men, women, and children burned that day,
