I can see the merits, but my issue is that the build would level really slow without alteration. I only put like 5 levels into magicka anyways, I had a lot of health. Also I do not like making big edits if I have not actually played it . Hm. It was less about having full spell absorbtion and more about being able to take whatever the enemy can throw at me and power through. People in general seem to get turned off by use of fortify restoration unless it fits in perfectly, and in this case no. Also, using alteration at least doubles, if not more, the amount of charges in you bow. I cannot say how annoying it was before I perked alteration to have to recharge my bow constantly (60 charges on a fast firing bow is like nothing).

Zephyr is faster than the hunting bow by a bit. However the point of a fast firing bow is for the enchantment bit, so always using potion kind of kills that. IT would be less fun to always use potions. Also, being a vamp is against the RP in general, and necromage is overused.

I see the use of Alteration. I like its function as a sort of "glue skill" that supports or improves most other key skills and tactics here. One more question though: Did you ever use spells in the middle of combat, or only as pre-combat set-up (e.g., flesh spells)?
I think if you elaborate a bit on Alteration in the build writeup, it might be more apparent that it belongs in the build. Every other skill got at least a full paragraph of discourse, but you barely even mention Alteration, let alone explain how it fits in the gameplay.
Also, another implied benefit of taking the Nord Hero Bow is that it requires you to complete the Companions quest line. In doing so, you gain two other valuable rewards:
1. General combat experience
2. Free training with any Companion (including up to 75 Archery with Aela!)
So if you start with the Companions after hitting 50 Archery via Faendal, you'll get some decent combat experience through that quest line, culminating in a free trip to 70+ Archery for Ranger and Quick Draw, and your ideal endgame bow. That can all be done within just a few hours too, since it's probably the shortest faction quest line.

I only used alteration set up spells, as in flesh spells. I will add a bit more to its description, I definitely can tell it needs some more.
As for the companions I wanted to get ranger as quick as the game would allow, so using a paralysis stave seemed more practical. I did join the companions, but I did not progress into the story line. Being a werewolf also seems to kind of go against everything the Purifiers stand for (werewolves =/= the wild hunt, but they are in the same boat). I for sure see where you are coming from, my reasoning is that from past builds I have found people enjoy builds a lot more if they have to go through as little "reward" quests and quest lines as possible.
