I've been playing it for about a week, he's in the level 50 range. Maybe not totally done with it but got the main stats and gear finished. Loads of fun tho

That's pretty hardcore even by my standards, I played this guy through twice and it took me many weeks...
Thanks though BNG, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

One question mason, when playing this build what side should this char in the dawn-guard quest line? If you join the vamps you can only get spells like stendarrs aura after you kill harkon and get destroy the dawn guard quest then once you find the chars in the fort you can cast calm = and buy it from them. or you can just buy it from the dawn if you join them. What do you think?

I've created and deleted so many vampire hunters for the Dawnguard content. They always just seem to turn out too generic. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks! Now I'm off to spend waaay too much time coming up with a name and face...

Awesome Build +1
I have a question regarding the Roleplay.
It seems obvious that you did the Dawnguard Questline because it would have gone against your character's convictions to become a Vampire seeing as you are a Vampire Hunter and must have done the Dawnguard questline for the Rune Axe.
Why did you choose to wear Royal Blood Vampire armor? It looks cool but it kinda makes no sense, it seems like you are siding with them.

Thanks Beresford,
The vamp armor is a hard sell I guess, understand that it was simply the natural progression though. I worked my way through the robes first (if you check the A&A section above) because the 'look' I really wanted is actually achieved fairly early in the playthrough...
Apprentice robes (awesome look) with full Dawnguard armor quickly puts together the aesthetic of the character and you can then try finding some adept robes. As you work through the Dawnguard questline and Royal armor comes available it's too good to pass up, moving up to the ugly expert robes is not an option for this character...
It's not a case of siding with the vamps, he's just a practical character. And lets face it, even the name suggests he doesn't follow normal trends (Heretic)

It's a Dawnguard build mate, you aren't going to get the items you want if you side with the vamps. No enhanced crossbow, rune axe, exploding bolts, master trainers (under one roof), sun spells...
I think you may have missed the general vibe of the character...

Hi Mason,
Thanks for response.
I understand where you are coming from now, I suppose it could be seen as a souvenir for killing 'x' amount of vampires in order to obtain those robes :)
I have actually started a new char with your build but I have dropped Alteration. I have done this because the overhaul mod I use (Requiem) increases spell cost when in Heavy Armor so cannot cast flesh spells mid-battle. Later in-game I may use it when I can reduce spell cost via perks.
Everything else I will use identical to your build and enjoying it so far.
