I went back and reread some of the stuff I wrote for Skyrim way back when (unfinished character builds, chaptered stories, and what I actually published), super trip o.O
In totally unrelated news, how does a frost mage deal with dwarven automata?

Frost atronach is probably the best option if want to keep with the frost theme. They do pure melee damage, so the frost immunity of automatons won't affect that damage. Frost atronachs also have a frost cloak, which won't affect the automatons. The Cyclone shout is another thematic option, but may be of limited use. The other potential options are avoidance, followers, expand into other elemental spells, or weapons. Ordinator has some destructions perks that reduce frost resistance of enemies, which may make frost magic more viable once destruction skill is high enough. Those are the options I came up with the other day. less
Breton Bound Sword does synergise exceptionally with Enchanting; you can be carting around the Bound Weapons Soul Trap perk by level 4 due to the disgusting EXP offered by Bound Sword. It just isn't something I'd pick up for this challenge run in particul...
Mechanically, I might actually suggest against the use of Bound Sword. I'm aware it's an excellent spell abnd beyond powerful in the early game especially when given Mystic Binding, but the trouble with it is that it levels your Conjuration and One-Handed...

Darklight Tower. Always liked that dungeon/quest. I remember the first time I walked into the tower, saw Illia stab the witch into back and then she told me how she never wanted this and all the other bla bla bla and I suddenly had Admiral Ackbar shouting in my head: "It´s a trap!" I think I kept an eye on Illia the whole way to the top of the tower, expecting her to offer me as the sacrifice in the last moment. Was kinda disappointed when she didn´t.
But yes, I really like how you portrayed her struggle with the coven, her conflict, and enjoyed Ria´s and Rune´s dialogue. What can I say, I´m a sucker for an out of place humor in serious situations.
And yeah, this can easily work as a standalone short or expand into more. I´d definitely be up for more stuff from you. less

A-Pocky-Hah!I think I stumbled upon Darklight Tower by accident. You know, the usual "let's just wander around Skyrim" sort of playthrough. It was a nice quest, not memorable in my opinion, but still nice.

Anyways, it's great to see some non-OC stories for a change. Ria and Rune... You know, there's something odd about a Companion and a member of the Thieves' Guild working together.

"gift-wrapped poop", LOL!! I'm sorry to hear that soly, but some of us, especially myself, put the same amount of work into presentation as well as gameplay. So this category is for celebrating those of us who do like to see their work prop...
Okay. Here we go.
To begin - I'd like to formally request my Mage Knight be withdrawn from the Presentation nomination. I'm aware DB isn't around, so... yeah. I think it's a much better fit under Gameplay, don't you?

Okay, yes, that thread? That thread is just slightly important reading. Just ever so slightly. I'm going to think about it. Off the top of my head, Baranat's Descendent can probably stay...? And apparently Liss might rather get a Lore nom for Vaermina's N...
I just got off my butt and reinstalled it on my new PC yesterday. Haven't gotten around to actually playing it yet. But mark me down as "sometime today."
Come on people, get your noms in before the nomination period expires! Three more days! Or four, something like that.
After some contemplation, I think I've narrowed my noms to three fairly clear winners. I have them open in three other tabs and will be ...
Much tighter than it used to be, and rather a pleasure to read (as long as I close one eye to the fact that he's still a filthy Stormcloak). Combat as this character seems pretty straightforwards, so that's probably a good thing - it means you can have a ...
About Me
I tend to hang around the Workshop and Skyrim Character Building groups. I'm also a writer, but not always, and have been playing around with screenshots recently. Have this Skyrim fic that needs rewriting. I'll get around to it... maybe.

We've no got four brand new features, including some new builds and an album containing some incredibly good screenshots taken in Skyrim. So if you haven't yet given them a look why not do so when you get the chance?
