Another thing you can do if you're not going to main page it is give a worming and after so many hours it gets deleted I would rather you do that so I can at least have a chance to copy what I post so I can put it in the correct section without having to re type everything.   "Yes it does make it easier! I wouldnt advise investing perks in this skill though, give my character 5 - 10 picks and he can pick a master lock at lockpick skill level 20. Only the extra magic item perk looks decent, i suppose if your role-playing a thief you might feel guilty to your build by not adding perk points to lockpicking."

  To answer your question, no, you can do nothing but kill the NPC that is asking for mercy. He will eventually recover and attempt to kill you again.
