I know the man of which you speak,

    Many think him a freak.

What concerned me was the long box he hide.

Hircine knows what he had hidden inside.

Tell a funny story, don't know if it is true

Someone made that funny man blue.

I think I can trust this source,

It's rumored someone ran off with his horse...

A little cryptic, points awarded for to anyone who works out even one line:

Rhyme, rhyme? Sounds more like whine

    Whine, whine, need more time

Time, time, to draw the line

Line, line, but still a crime

    Crime, crime but quite sublime

Sublime, sublime, yet oh so fine

Fine, fine I wrote a rhyme deep down in Steamscorch Mine

For some strange reason, Phil told me to post it ;-P

    Hi Sotek :-)

See this is what I get for posting when I'm tired and on mobile, I miss half of what I'm trying to say lol

Each line is independent, but connected as a whole by their part in the ES series.

    The Ballad of Mara's Might

Ere I go in, I ask once more:
Why standest thou afore tomb's door?
What is't compels thee here begin?
And what expect to find therein?

    Draugr steps scuffing ancient floors,
A werewolf's howl abounds and more.
    Vampiric fiends--Molag's fell curse--
Expect no less, perhaps much worse.
Dragon priests breed stress and strife
    As they extend corrupted life.
Vile daedric princes seek to sway
The hearts of mer and men away.
So ask again, it's only right,
Why stand afore tomb door tonight?

Some come for loot and some for gold
And some for stories to unfold,
But lesser motives entice not me
Who wants these undead slaves set free.
    For Nine gave life as a true friend;
They bade it start and bade it end,
Alotted time and made the rift
That is no curse, but life’s true gift.
The Nine provide and do attest
They give us life and give us rest.
    Corrupted life, bloated and swollen,
Extends that life, but rest is stolen.
A wolf inside a stolen fleece
It has the life--at cost of peace.
It finds itself lost and alone
And has no will left of its own.
    Corrupted life, a corrupt tool
For daedric princes, a daedric fool.
But I am here to put that past
And bring these poor souls rest at last.

And ere I go, I ask once more,
How goest thou through yon tomb’s door?
Like warriors bold in armor fell?
Who walk like tortoise in their shell?
Or as the thief, who courage lacks,
To stab this evil in the back?
No. I confront it face to face
With flesh exposed, I know my place.
I enter here, no armored song
For Mara makes her weak things strong.
I enter here, no script nor purse
It's Mara now who fights this curse.

Midst undead step and fang and fright
I restore souls; I bring them light.
Midst undead step and fang and fright
I ease them into that good night.
Midst undead step and fang and fright
I fight undead and daedric spite.
Midst undead step and fang and fright
    I fight for all--for Mara's might!

    Bright moons and sharp claws

Voices boom in this rhyming war!

Echoing thu'um, blood on the floor

Creativity blooms in this house of Shor.

Sotek and Lorc: Clean up the mess ;)

Kaiser, your rhymes are always the best!

Harrow, a hero born to quest,

Meli, I'm stumped so a clue would be blessed :D

And Legion flies down from his owl's nest.
