    Better remember the safe word...

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI
(Admittedly it's been a while since reading the Vivec stuff, just remember him being a bit overly fond of fondly fondlings.)

Indeed. But what I couldn't help but notice as I read any Vivec text is how he loves the word 'I')))

@Brandon i use Flesh Spells like that for other characters, i use it to justify swimming in clothes since its like a thin layer bubble arround so clothes dont get wet :D

So very true! One self obsessing entity for sure.

    @Vezrabuto: Once again a nice touch ;)

That's why, while everyone goes about how Vivec is awesome I can't quite agree. What is really awesome, it's what Sotha Sil said about Vivec in ESO)

What can be done in vanilla to make crafting more of an RP experience?

Make it a part of your character, or part of their backstory. Nords are famous for steelsmithing. Orcs are reknowned for their work work with Orichalculm, among other metalwork and craftsmanship. Bosmer archery and huntsmanship could easily extend towards crafting arrows.

As a few examples of what I've done in the past:

-I had a high elf mage who was extremely righteous. He converted Azura's Star into the Blackstar and would seal the souls of the wicked inside of it, denying them the afterlife. He would literally make something of them by enchanting common everyday items and gifting them to the unfortunate or virtuous, and meanwhile the remains of their souls would slowly fade to horrible, tormented nothingness in the Soul Cairn over the course of hundreds or thousands of years.

-My Orc archer was fascinated by Dwemer Metal, and after being gifted, or cursed, with Ancient Knowledge he found himself able to craft and use the stuff as if he were a master. He was a former smith for the Imperial Legion, and so the style of the Dwarven Centurion armor was a natural fit for him. He used a self-crafted Dwarven Longbow, an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow, a massive variety of self-made bolts and arrows, and magical staves when all else failed. After ending the Civil War, he took to hunting Vampires, then Dragon Priests. His prey eventually led hom to Solstheim and the Black Bow of Fate, which begame his new weapon of choice, and he even made use of a weak Soul Stealing enchantment on his Cossbow to keep the artifact charged.

-Probably my favorite playthrough of all time, my Dunmer Battlemage, was a redemption arc, with the character overcoming his personal demons and establishing himself as the hero he'd set out to be in his youth. In a weird way, Alchemy was a means of adding depth to and highlight his inner conflict. Mixing medicines and poisons brought to mind very different memories from the war. Pouring a ruby-red vial into the mouth of an officer and watching it pool in his mouth like blood because the man was already dead and unable to swallow. The green, oily slick on his sword in the assault the next day as he went hunting for the Thalmor in red robes. The memories in those bottles helped him come to terms with his past, and eventually those bottles were the edge he needed to save the world.

-My best/worst pure warrior playthrough was a big, violent, dumb, aggressive mercenary of a Silver-Blood. His goal is life was to essentially check off everything on a stereotypical Nord's bucket list. He learned how to make Skyforged Steel, was the Harbinger of the Companions, killed dragons for sport, mastered the Thu'um, hit stuff with big weapons, fought in a war, and literally started every adventure by going to the nearest tavern and clearing out their booze supply so he could fight while drunk. Smithing, for him, was both a way to improve his gear and as a means of showing his pride. The finer his steel, the more he reaffirmed his own superiority.

I dont know if you mean RP in Gameplay but hey might Aswell chime in ^^

For Smithing: I Normally only wait depending on the size and complexity of the item im making I,E a Dragonbone sword takes more time than pelt boots. Sorry i almost never use Smithing ^^

Alchemy: Have youre Notes and Ingredients near you or a Alchemy Skillbook. Dont just spam potions think about what youre mixing and if that would need to boil for a while. For Example lets say Void Salts and Vampire dust wouldnt take long to mix wait 1 hour in game. Deadra Heart + imp Stool + Nirnroot however would take a while, wait a hour then leave the station go cook or read a book to simulate waiting for the ingredients to combine or the time it takes to extract the essence of a Nirnroot and so on. You dont just cram everything in a bottle and voila death juice :D

I love crafting (smithing and alchemy), and I even learned to like enchanting with a playthrough not long ago where I played like my character was Azhidal reborn. Lots of barrow crawling specifically to find enchanted items and learn their secrets, potion crafting to make newly smithed and enchanted weapons as deadly as possible. Lots and lots of laying waste to elves. It was fun imagining what Azhidal would do if he were actually reborn into present-day Skyrim.

    I need some Advice.

So my Character specializes in Destruction Staves and i don't want to rely on RNG to find some random Novice staves when im lvl 20. So Neloth comes to Mind but my Character has no drive to go to Solstheim since i dont want to Start Miraaks quest so soon and i would like to make my own staves pretty early on.

So do you guys have plausible reasons to visit Solstheim without Miraak and not just simply visiting?

    Talikng about this Character: https://tamrielvault.com/groups/topic/view/group_id/7/topic_id/9769

Maybe he actually wants to learn from Neloth? Some dark and dangerous Telvanni secrets?
