For the most part its used because its easy to obtain, very light and very fast. Its probably at its most useful when used as a fast long range delivery system for poisons. But that all comes at the cost of range. The long bow has much less range than say a daedric or dragonbone bow.

In this build's case I assume the author intends for it to be used a quick means of siphoning health and stamina from enemies from a safe distance with its enchantments.

Looks good might try this without the enchanting see how it pans out might look at alchemy as a replacement see if thats viable as a replacement.

How did you find leveling block  ?

One note... The Ebony Blade benefits from one handed perks. Just something to note.

EDIT: I just realized that they had fixed it.

That bug has been fixed by 1.9.26.0.8 Offical Skyrim Patch.

Yeah, I more or less just used the Long Bow while walking around to harvest souls from rabbits and deer and the like. Anything more serious required the Orcish Bow, or whatever else you guys want to use.

I don't blame you. Enchanting has always felt a little flat to me, but in regards to having a character with minimal menu scrolling and grinding, it's the obvious choice. It's easy to level up and easy to make a bow and some clothes and forget about it for a while, and powerful enough to overcome any difficulty you may be having in those mid-levels.

Thanks, Tae. I was AWOL there for a bit.

The Ebony Blade is probably my least favorite aspect of this build looking back, haha. I just don't like the thing anymore, it's a one-trick pony. I say go for it to anyone thinking about playing this with a Blades sword. Blocking is the real skill, anyway. And Archery.

Excellent build . I finished him with a little change ... i played the ronin with a bosmer ( he can also get a japanese style and the archery bonus is really helpful) , and without amor ( using the thalmor gantelets).

Thanks again for this build i enjoyed every moment with this character .
