This is great, but how can I incorporate sword and shield into it if possible?

Started this build a few days ago, really enjoying the unique gameplay limitations. I took a slightly looser interpretation of no looting, in that if an NPC asked me to collect something for them (such as fire salts for Balimund, or a mammoth tusk for Ysolda) I picked it up if I came across it in my travels. Since I wasn't grabbing it for myself, but only taking it to give to a person who needed it, I didn't think of it as being "looting."

Perfectly reasonable, IMO.  I don't think it ever occurred to me that that could be considered looting; you're not keeping it, after all.

    Glad you're liking it!

Well, you could do whatever you want of course.  Just grab a shield and a sword and start using them... pretty straightforward, no?

However, part of the fun of this type of build (IMO) is observing those limitations and trying to stick with them.  Imagine putting down a gang of bandits with nothing more than a simple bow, good timing, and a little luck.

Great build! Just a quick question. How does this guy fare later on, without the use of alchemy? Seems like he might have a rough time without an extra means of dealing damage. Of course, picking ingredients could be seen as looting the socks off Mother Earth. So there is that. Overall, it looks like an absolute blast to play.

    Thanks!

My 'later on' is not the same as some peoples' - oftentimes my characters are 'done' between level 30 and 40.  With a relatively small skillset, this character build will really slow down (in terms of the speed of leveling) around level 35.

But I didn't have too much trouble at any point, surprisingly.  Slow Time is really a lifesaver!  Plus, I play on Adept, so there's that.

Great build due his heavy rules on loot, which makes role-playing much more interested... Probably the next build I play when I get finished with my DK Orc. +1 here
