Character Build: The Sword-Singer

Thanks Teccam, I realize that it's not canon that Yokudans live on Herne, I was just making that leap with you. That said, I think I remember reports of trade between Anvil and Yokuda in Oblivion. My theory is that the landmass wasn't entirely destroyed and some of the Ra'Gada still live there and/or it was resettled by the Redguard

I figured you knew, just wanted to be sure. And yeah, I think that's probably the case, regarding Yokuda. It sounds like Michael Kirkbride also subscribes to that theory. I haven't read any of his work myself though so I'm only going off Matt's comment above.

If Yokuda does still exist in some form, and if there are indeed settlements there, it would be really cool to get to travel there in a future TES game. (I wonder if that's what the original plan was for the rumored "Redguard" DLC?)

This is a very nice build that I would love to play, but i have one question....how does one who dosent kill/steal (no pick pocket armor or kill) obtain Solitude Guard Armor? Do you need to be lucky?

P.S- Im on X-Box so i dont have console to just spawn it

The best way to obtain it without killing or stealing is to simply wait for a dragon to attack a Solitude guard. If you don't want to wait, you could get creative with roleplaying. e.g., use a scroll of Frenzy on a guard, make up a reason for why the guard randomly decided to attack you, and why you had to kill him. Or you could tell a follower to kill him, and pretend like the follower was acting outside of your instruction. Or you could kill him in Beast Form (picked up during the Companions quest line) and out of shame/guilt, vow never to use Beast Form again.

Thank you Teecam. I guess Im too lazy an un-creative to come up with that. I'd probally go with follow attack. Oh no! GUARDS SERENA KILLED SOMEONE! I guess you'll just HAVE to kill her!

I love this build!  The lore behind it is great and I really want to try it out.  One thing,  what made you choose the Blade's Sword for the physical weapon?  Was it just for aesthetic purposes?  I guess I was just shocked when I saw that being used over the "traditional" redguard build with the scimitar.  It's not a big deal or anything, I was just curious.

Gotta say Teccam, I love the armor combo for the sword singer. In fact, it has even heavily influenced what I'll be wearing in my next build.

It was mostly aesthetic. But keep in mind that Yokuda is not Hammerfell. We don't know much about the climate or environment, we don't know much about the type of materials they would have used to build weapons and armor, or the aesthetic styles they would have preferred. The Blades Sword, to me, invokes an elegant, streamlined beauty that I imagine Sword-singers would have valued. Also, the thin, long blade seems better suited to a more diverse range of swordsmanship. I'm not a fencer myself, I just felt like the Blades Sword best captured the overall look and feel I was after.
