Character Build: The Arrowsworn

Fantastic build i really love the idea of a humble character . I did a beta test of your arrowsworn with some modifications.

Let me explain, i'm a console player and i haven't the dlc ( so saddly no crafting arrow for me) so i use a breton to use bounds  weapons ( + the magic resistance and they also worship Arkay) .  I was a bit too far on the undead hunter side , accepting dawnbreaker ( but not using it on humans) .

As gifted weapons i think Valdr's lucky dagger and froki's bow are also acceptables ^^i used the bound bow (the one in fort amol) to not have too check the corpse to take back my arrows

last think i also use the fire cloak ( find near the body close to dawnstar)  reaaly useful against undead ,but it was maybe too much compare to the original build .

Excuse me for my english (it's not my native language ) and even if i change some stuffs i love your concept.

No problem, those sound like good ideas!  Some interesting roleplay conflicts with Meridia there - I think I just left the Beacon in a chest.

The bound weapon perks could certainly work - though you need to go through the soul trap perk in order to get to the turn undead one, which would be hard for me to justify.

But that's the point of builds, IMO - you take what you like and tweak what you don't.

Thank you , it's true that Dawnbreaker wa s a bit too much (it'sone of the reason i reroll this character.  About the bound weapon i didn't take the oblivion binding neither than the soul stealer perks ( who doesn't fits with the RP ).

What a great build, +1. Really loved the 'The Love of Poverty' bit, I'll probably start using it all my future playthroughs.

Wow. Love of Poverty. Now THAT'S something awesome. I think I will try this straight away... but with a little twist, based somewhat on redguard lore; read this, taken from the UESP:

The Sword-singers (or Ansei) were a group of expert Redguard warriors from Yokuda and, for a while, HammerfellThe greatest of the sword-singers were known as Ansei, or "Saints of the Sword" and formed their own training schools to pass on their skills.[1] To become an Ansei of the first rank, a sword-singer had to demonstrate an ability to form the Shehai, a sword formed out of the singer's own spirit. Higher ranks were also possible.[3] The study of the Shehai was known as "Shehai Shen She Ru", the Way of the Spirit Sword. When formed by a high-level Ansei, the Shehai was "an unstoppable weapon of great might" and made the singer capable of astonishing feats of swordsmanship.

SO, instead of simply using a bow, when times are though, he will use his own will, naturally powerful from his Ansei heritage AND monk training, to perform the Shehai: or, in Skyrim, THE BOUND SWORD!! My character won't be a simple monk, really... he would be a orphan or so, raised by the monks of Arkay in Hammerfell, who demonstrated great promise not only in Arkayan arts, but also with the sword, protecting his fellow monk-friends. After becoming an adult, he was sent off, to practice the 3 loves around the world... until he was arrested in Skyrim.(remember teh intro of this game hahaha)

Anyway, sometime along the road, he will in a time of need, summon his Shehai. After reseraching on this newfound power, he will discover the ancient order in books... and decide to honor the tradition of his RELATIVES. he was an orphan, remember? So, yeah, that's it, basically.

Arkayan monk, Last Dragonborn, AND Last Sword-Singer.

    3 powers, 3 loves.

All in service of the people of Skyrim and of mighty Arkay.

Love this build and am about to try it! I'm wondering how you rp being gifted enchanted items? Do you sell them or use them? Some conflict with soul powered items right? Also when you join a faction, there is often a lot you can take. Do you take this stuff? I'm thinking I would be drawing the line at things in containers, and only taking visible items. Thanks for input.

You knows upon seeing a comment on here, I was thinking if using the Bound Bow, like a Shehai, but as a bow. Like, a Shebow.

I was never gifted an enchanted item... well, apart from the Axe of Whiterun, I guess.  Ended up selling that, obviously.  I was never gifted anything enchanted that I actually wanted to use or that required recharging, so it didn't really come up.

As for factions, I didn't find myself spending a lot of time with the main factions.  The only one I really joined was the College, and I didn't hang out there much.  Probably I allowed myself to take the stuff in my 'dorm room', but I didn't go around collecting stuff from the whole place.

Just because it doesn't have a 'stolen' tag doesn't mean it's up for grabs, in this character's mind.  Otherwise, he could be looting dead enemies. :)  It has to be really, really clear that someone else wanted him to have it.

Don't forget the Kyne's Sacred Trials quest. The Alchemist's shack in the Falkreath/Rift border would make a great house though only the dresser by the bed is safe for storage. I don't see this guy as an alchemist but knowing how to brew a basic healing or fortify marksman potion couldn't hurt.

Also follow the civil war questline just enough to get the slow time shout then go through the main quest to negotiate a ceasefire.
