I've never liked alchemy either. Salmon Roe is awesome. I also found an alchemy app that let's you plan potions based on different criteria. Price for levelling up. It's been helpful. I think it's called SR Alchemy or something.

Greater ward for resto leveling, the telekinesis trick for alteration... I love it!!!!

I'd recommend the SR Alchemy app. It allows you to easily cross reference everything and even keep a list of your ingredients.  I've never enjoyed alchemy so much.

He means let Serana turn you into a vampire for the soul cairn, and then get cured right after. I think you'd have to redo the Ultimate Atronach setup afterwards, though, with new potions.

I did it well before the Atronach setup! The Soul Cairn quest is harder if you aren't a vampire, and you need to be cured before continuing the Dawnguard quests if you want the goodies like Aura of Stendarr at the end. Mason's videos show clearly that he did his Atronach setup well after Dawnguard also.
