Excellent build, engaging and good use of skills without being overwhelming. And to answer a question from the previous page, the bear represents Tsun's brother, Stuhn, in the ancient Nordic pantheon. The precursor to Stendarr.

I was getting into a project of my own but, as was the case with your Swordthane, I couldn't deny  the irresistible pull of this fusion of Skyrim lore and real world history. So I rolled up a grizzled looking nord, got the fur armour from a bandit as soon as I left Helgen and haven't looked back!

I'm loving the blacksmithing and enchanting theme - like a smith from ancient pagan cultures revered for his ability to bring beauty from the very rocks themselves. How can that not be considered magic? Adding enchanting really hammers that subtle shamanic magic home. I can't help feeling this build would have really suited heavy armour of the Ancient Nord variety, what with the Skyforge and all it's history with the Companions. And, of course, Ahzidal's set with it's enchanting boost would have been cool.

That being said, the caped fur armour with a hood looks really cool too so I can't complain too much.

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with this build once again, now that I've played it!

I had a very giddy moment when I was able to quickly dispatch the guy who lives inside Azura's Star, and as a Daedric warrior closed in I offed him quickly as well, with a Flawless Bloodskal Blade (its awesome for this guys beginning, I got it early as possible.) While my guy was fading out of the Star back to reality, I snatched out the Daedra's heart.

I also slew that loan-shark and his body-guard in Raven Rock with two quick kill-cams, paying a bounty of 1000 altogether. I couldn't help but laugh as I was searching my inventory to see if anything that I might have stolen was missing. I noticed I had five black books and three elder scrolls in my inventory, and laughingly wondered what the guards thought of that business. Clever Man indeed.

Very very fun roleplay all the way through, and I will be using this guy to finally explore Solsthiem now that Im close to the end of the suggested questlines.

Thanks, Phil.  I'm actually currently working on a heavy-armor Nord character... I'm not sure if it will be a posted build just yet, but we'll see.  If nothing else, it's a fun roleplay experience right now!  It's been a long time since I went heavy armor.

Sounds awesome, Casey!  I wish I'd done Azura's quest with this guy.  Guess I could dig out the save if I really wanted to.

This character is great for exploring Solstheim - or just about anyplace that promises some kind of dark knowledge.  Glad it's working for you!

One of the few builds that I've come across that implant a character into Skyrims lore well.

I'm trying to do the same with my Altmer Wizard/Dovahkiin, but so far I have no luck. I can't think up a good story of why Akatosh, a human god, would bless an Altmer.

About your last screenshot, how did you raise that Lurker? Does Dead Thrall allow this?

That Lurker wasn't raised by Dead Thrall - probably the next lower tier necromancy spell (the name escapes me).  I remember that the Lurkers would eventually time out and crumble.  But I honestly don't think I even tried Dead Thrall on them...

My suspicion is that they might be too high level for that spell, though, since Solstheim is a fairly high-level place.  It'd be worth looking up.

There's always mods. Lurkers are some of my favourite mobs, very mysterious.

    Thanks for your reply.

Epic way to make a character with pretty simple equipment become a badass in end-game
