This might be a "OK/solid build" but i just wanted to express that Albino's is better. And i'm not saying your commenting just for the sake of it. But i do agree with no more comments on it.

We are discussing the build at hand and I don't think the points I made were ridiculous.

Joke builds are a problem, they always have been. I wouldn't be doing my job as a host if I didn't say something.

    Right on, boss. I dig.

    1) On-page perk spread. Will do.

    2) I will add a quests page. I completely forgot to add it- the notes are sitting right here on my desk too.

    3) Yes, I did play this build. I played it as a Breton, but I've tested it again with a Dunmer and Argonian and the race doens't make much of a difference. Dunmer have a boost in all the listed perks, but the gameplay doens't change much. Altmer can be played for Illusion priority, Khajiit can be played for Sneak priority, Nords can be played to fit the Skyrim theme, Redguards can be played to utilize Destruction - Racial ability wasn't a large part of gameplay, so really who I played as didn't matter.

    4) I did not set this whole thing up for jokes, although I can see your concern. I do ask, however, that you please consider what I write below.

    5) I thought no armor meant no armor, as in clothes. I didn't realize that Alteration counted as armor. My mistake.

    6) See below.

    7) Runes are the only destruction spell. I don't understand why that is a problem.

    8) See below.

    9) Already noted.

    10) See below.

    11) Please read the build before you bash it.

    12) Who said you have to use only Unrelenting Force? I can add specific Dwemer tactics, just give me a moment to find a dungeon and write out the strategies I normally use.

    13)  ...

Admittedly, after all this, I'm a little upset.

This build's roleplay is what gives it it's lighthearted-ness. But the possibilities that the build has to offer are being overlooked because it isn't dark enough.

If I had substituted the cabbages with dark illustrations of vampires, dragons, and epics this build wouldn't have been bashed the way it has. Instead it's being treated like a disgrace amongst the big guns because the roleplay isn't angsty.

While there are loads of builds that have dark, sad, and/or angry backstories, there are so few where you can just play like a mad-man - someone touched in the head by Sheogorath. Not everyone wants to constantly play like an angry, vengeful, dutiful Dovahkiin- sometimes you want to play as someone messed in the head and goes about it like Cicero, but playing with knives and sneak is overused and gets boring fast.

That's the depressing part. This build functions well, I've tested it out over and over again, tweaking it bit by bit, and it WORKS. And it works well. It's loads of fun, a wonderful way to let off steam, and worth the time and effort to play. It's a kind of character that you can go back to on a good day, a bad day, and anywhere in-between.

And now it's possibly being threatened to be taken down or removed, because I decided to do something more Manic than Demented. And that's just not fair.

I can take down the cabbage pictures, although truth be told I found the comment "cabbage orgy" more offensive. I see a man floating amongst a field of cabbages, but the way you phrased it was much more disturbing. The first one is supposed to pay homage to Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album.

I'm not your 'boss', less of the tude.

    Whaaa...?

Just kiddin' around, man. Host = boss in a joking manner...

Did this seriously get almost all of its comments in the past hour? Damn.

Anyway, to throw my two cents out there, I think joke builds are fine provided that they can be recreated by potential players. There are a bunch of different things that make a build like-worthy (gameplay mechanics, artwork, roleplay, etc.) and personally, I think humor can be one of them.

With regards to my Quarra, it's still on the front page, so it can continue to gain attention, and as such I'm not concerned about this hogging all the likes or anything like that. Considering how it has only been up for a day, it's doing excellently compared to my other builds.

I did use a few destruction spells at the beginning to get me to the first part. I can add that, too. Pardon my scrutiny, but your comments sound as though you do not believe that I have played through this build, even though I have told you that I tested it multiple times on different races.

Is this the case, or am I reading too much into it?

    Hey Albino,

Thanks for your input. I really like you Quarra build, and I'm eager to test it out!

I'm sincerely sorry if the happenings on this build have caused you any trouble, I never intended to ruffle feathers. Your build is really good, much better than mine, so please don't let comments here bring you down.

Your build is super creative, and in the end that's what counts. I think most people on this site forget that builds aren't just here for numbers and popularity- they're an outreach to bring enjoyment to others. Submitting a build on the site isn't just about how it ranks, it's about giving someone you've never met before the opportunity to enjoy a game in a unique way- and if you've made someone out there enjoy that game a little more, then that's what counts. Happiness counts.

Sorry if I sound a little preachy, but don't let today's fiasco get you down. You submitted something really great, and others here will agree *thumbs up!*

(OOF, double post. You can tell I have internet problems, yes?)

Yeah, it looked like Ning ate your first comment (happens to me all the time). Don't worry, I'm not irritated about it or anything; I just felt the need to comment since my build was brought up several times. I'm certainly glad you liked my build though!
