+1 from me! just came back from a hiatus and saw this bad boy and had to give it a like! everything just works so well together. i remember when i actually found the Bloodskal Blade and thought it was so badass but never got around to using it. i am pretty sure i am gonna start this.

Thanks mate! Damn right the Bloodskal Blade is the most badass sword to date. I hope you have a fun playthrough! :)

I really like this build but i don't have dawnguard. Do you have any other suggestions for a alternative helmet?

Perhaps the steel helmet or maybe a dragon priest mask? What do you think Sam?

Do you have Dragonborn? If so, then I would suggest still using Nordic Carved Armor, just replace the Dawnguard Helm with the Helm of Yngol.

There are plenty of options. I'd recommend Zahkriisos, as that will augment your shock spells and look good too. It could be a trophy from your battles through Raven Rock mine and Bloodskal Barrow. Any closed helmets could work really though, as they keep the look of a masked hero.

Well man...this is a great build. I love the aspect of lore, aesthetics, and a unique gameplay. It's an extremely good build and has a whole lot of really cool things in it. It was a fun read and I'm sure it will be even better to play!

I'll be sure to give this a whirl over my next break!

Thanks Khan! I hope you enjoy your playthrough, it certainly provides a unique way to play a two hander!

Hey Samjt and Curse, at what level did you start perking in Alteration? I'm only at level 8 so far and am questioning its value at this stage. At first I thought it was a master stroke when I saw it in your build as it fits and feels so well, but I find myself reluctant to waste any perk points when they could go into Destruction or Two Handed.

I know it is still early game and I haven't had much time to playas I would like, just wondering if the trade off for perks for the crowd controlling Ash spells of the Alteration school are really the way to go.

Also, I just picked up a suit of Wolf Armour for that Northern look until Nordic Carved is available.
