    God, Adrik may have to give this build a go when I'm done with yors eachur Telvanni Wizard! Any more builds like these 2 and may be stuck on Skyrim again for 2-3 months. +1

    Does the active effect tag change to the altered values for you?

    Just FYI, for anyone who is really anal about exact round numbers, you need 33% Fortify Alchemy via enchantments to get exactly 100% Fortify Restoration, when using Yellow Mountain Flower as one of the ingredients.  There's a VERY easy way to get exactly 33% Fortify Alchemy from enchantments: just enchant a necklace with Fortify Alchemy very early on in the play through, before you start perking/training your Enchanting skill.  Fortify Alchemy has an 8% base value, so a fresh character with no perks will always make a necklace with 8% Fortify Alchemy.

    Save that necklace, and equip it instead of the default "Astral Relic" necklace whenever you need to make more potions.  Assuming your Thalmor Gloves have 25% Fortify Alchemy (they should), it adds up to 33%, for a perfect 100% Fortify Restoration potion.  And then you could even choose to replace the Fortify Alchemy enchantment on the Astral Relic with something else, like fortifying a magic school, or health/regen...

    This will actually make all your potions look more rounded.  e.g., the Flask of Astral Power now grants 125 Magicka and 100% Fortify Destruction.  The Essence of Magnus is still 20%. The Tincture of the Twin Moons grants 80% Fortify Alteration.  (Have you tested with Burnt Spriggan Sap?  It was added in DB, and there's a small chance it may have a similar augmenting effect, like the Yellow Mountain Flower.  I may test it myself, since it's not in the garralab tool.)

    I didn't know about Yellow Mountain Flower having a greater magnitude. All considered however I still suggest using more common ingredients. The Yellow Mountain Flower is not available before quest Unseen Visions. Before the quest the cave ends with a dead end instead of a gate. With more common ingredients (Cyrodilic Spadetail, Abecean Longfin, Salt Pile) you'll need 66% Fortify Alchemy for a perfect 100% Fortify Restoration potion which can be achieved using restoration loop.

    Edit: using Small Pearl instead of Small Antlers results in a potion with same magnitude (100% Fortify Restoration with 33% Fortify Alchemy)

    I dunno, as nice as it is to be able to grow your own ingredients (via Hearthfire), it's a lot simpler and less exploitative to use the Yellow Mountain Flower method.  Also, UESP says you can enter Ancestor Glade at any time, regardless of the status of Unseen Visions.  It respawns every 10 days, so it's not too bad to collect a decent stock of the flowers.

    My mistake I forgot Hearthfire. It'll be a lot easier to grow the flowers. I couldn't find the entrance to the inner part of the cave today, maybe I missed it. I gonna check it out tomorrow. You'll still have to fight a spriggan (always was a spriggan matron for me) to get inside though which can be tough for low level players.

    According the garralab, the Small Pearl does not affect the magnitude.  Only the Yellow Mountain Flower does (when paired with any ingredient except Salt Pile, for some reason).  e.g.:

    * Small Pearl + Yellow Mountain = 100%

    * Abecean + Yellow Mountain = 100%

    * Cyrodiilic + Yellow Mountain = 100%

    * Salt Pile + Yellow Mountain = 80%

    * Small Pearl + Abecean = 80%

    * Small Pearl + Cyrodiilic = 80%

    * Small Pearl + Salt Pile = 80%

    * Abecean + Cyrodiilic = 80%

    You can't plant Yellow Mountain Flowers in HF unfortunately.  So you do have to harvest them from the glade.  But you can stockpile Abecean Longfin and Cyrodiilic Spadetail via the Hjaalmarch house's optional fish hatchery.  As for accessing the whole glade, Ben mentioned that you might only be able to access part of the cave.  I know there's a gate in there that locks during Unseen Vision; maybe that gate is always locked prior to the quest.  If you check it out for yourself, let us know!

    You cannot since yellow mountain flowers are part of Dawnguard.

    Maybe some day they'll patch that in, but thus far, they haven't done anything.
