    This shield can be completely unfamiliar to any shield wielder. The concept of using it is totally different - you're not blocking hits like with regular shields you're temporally removing enemy from battle which gives you time to plan and execute your next moves.

    Not only that, but rune spells are not affected by resistance. When I play as a destruction mage and fight enemies resistant to my element, I just switch to using runes as my attack of choice.

    Nice to see another shield sorcerer build.  That makes 3 that I know about.  With any luck, we might yet fill this section up!

    God, that shield is frickin' fear in a bottle. I picked it up in my current playthrough (staff is dumb anyways and the Aetherial crown looks dumb with my armor setup), and it is insane. It doesn't suit the character as well as it suits this guy (he's a basic sword-and-board), but it's basically a bigger fuck-off button than fear. Tempted to play around with the shield with a build actually geared towards.

    Excellent synergy between frost spells and the seldom used a ethereal shield.

    To think this awesome build lied forgotten somewhere around page 40 or so.
