Wow thanks, that means alot to me when a person actually wants to try it. The staff enchanting is not limited, if you want I can dedicate a small section to staff enchanting. The only problem with alteration is you need the atronach perk to achieve 100% spell absorption.

I beat the Ebony warrior at easy with miraaks staff because he just stood their while I used storm of the ages.

Lastly I loved Neloth since I first met him. He is the single greatest character since morrowind with a unique personality.

I am really happy this build inspired you, go ahead and build it twice. I dont mind if you make modifications because at the end of the day im just a dude on the skyrim forums posting about a wizard.

Test run using ash spells and i gotta say, they are ridiculously fun and slightly OP. you basically 'phase shift' an enemy out of existence, so much so that you can walk through them!

Might make for a fun little build where you use ash spells and the aetherial shield to 'phase shift' enemies for crowd control and use become etherial for yourself to heal or escape.

As far as my interest in putting points into health, if i use a dedicated staff of paralysis and perhaps a few others (sanguine rose for example) and then rely on ignite for damage since it uses such a low amount of mana, so far ive found i can win most fights with the basic 100 magicka and no regen enchantments (obviously will want more for bosses and dragons). Did a run through a few dungeons with 400 health (lvl 30 character) and using ebony flesh for 300 AR, didnt really have much trouble at all and that's with crap gear.

I was originally trying to incorporate more ash spells but I got a bit carried away. The phase shift idea sounds like it could be a build by itself. Ignite has to be one of the most power efficient spell in the game but since I was going for shock I decided not to put it in. Its great to hear how your testing is going. I would be glad hear more updates so because other than playing around with spell absorption I haven't really tested much in skyrim.

Just discovered something awsome! The ash gaurdian has a soul! (Greater.) So if u need charge, just soultrap the gaurdian. From now on I pick azuras star on enchanters, no more worry of running out of charge! And for the grand souls I just go mamoth hunting, makes it feel that much more special

Feel free to incorporate as long as u give me some credit :P

Now of to write it in the the tips and tricks aswel

EDIT: just incase: I do mean the summon!

Wow nice find. The ash guardian is very versatile and this makes him even more desirable. Thank you for the input, ill be sure to add it in right away.

So what happens if you have the Soul Stealer and Onlivion Binding Conjuration perks and hit the Guardian with your Bound Sword? Do you capture a soul and dismiss the summons?

I just tried it, oblivion binding does not work on the gaurdian. Neither does fear or turn undead (both at lvl 105 magnitude so dont talk about to low lvl) ... Figures...

    No, it's level 30.
