Well i dont really need it but i bet some people might want to at least put a few points into a Minor Skill ^^ For me i just switched out Speechcraft with Pickpocket since Pickpocket will be used in Gameplay while Speechcraft is there to show his Training in Manners he received as a Child :) You know what you said Quests can give bonuses, why not make a few Key quest give a Minor Skill point? Things like last quests of Factions or Longer Quests like the Aetherium Forge ^^

I was thinking about the same thing actually))) Tomorrow I'll look through the quests and add the bonuses.

A cool mod to use along with alchemy is Take notes journal of the dragonborn you can write down the cool recipes you discover. And it can also be used while in game to keep other notes you might want to keep in order not to forget later on or something like that. I 'm not sure if the mod is available for SE though.

    First Entry

Ostium awoke, hearing a Lute being strummed down stairs followed by Voices and Laugther. He got out of Bed and looked out the Window. The Sun blinding him and fresh Air from the Sea greeting him. He put on his Shoes and walked downstairs to have Breakfast.

He bought a few pieces of Bread some slices of cooked meat and two bottles mead and sat down in a Corner. He saved a bottle of mead and some Food for later.

Ostium went out into town to seek out the Alchemy store. After asking to use the Station Ostium brew 1 Poison of Damage Health 2 Healing Potions and a Potion of Magicka recovery over the course of several Hours. Crushing Seeds together with flower petals and adding boiling water. Extracting the fluids out of a Mora Tapinella by having it steamed over boiling water and combined with the fluids from the Stalk of a Red Mountain Flower for a Magicka Potion. Ostium also had a few failed potions who were nothing more than glorified Tea. He sold the Magicka Potion to the Shopkeeper, thanked her for allowing him to use the Station and went back into the Inn. He put on his Robe and gloves grabbed his Quiver and Hunting Bow and went on his way to search for Ingredients in and arround Dragonbridge.

He collected a few more Red Mountain Flowers and Mora Tapinella. He stumbled upon some Lavender and Nightshade Flowers. After passing through Dragonbridge Ostium was attacked by a wolf. His first arrow missed the weaving and speeding wolf but his Second arrow hit its Mark right into the Nape. Ostium was never taught how to Skin Animals, he skipped his Training often to play with the Town Kids. He dragged the body of the Road and moved on. He saw some Mushrooms topped with a red coloration. As he picked them he heard some Muttering further off the Path. He Investigated and found an unsettling Scene.

A crude circle made of Stones with a body in the middle of it. Off to the Side was a Man dressed in a Black Robe flipping through a Book. Ostium tried to Sneak closer but was caught due to him stepping on a small fallen branch. The Man attacked straight away with Frost Magic. With his Vision hindered Ostium retreated as fast as he could. The Mage stopped following him after a Minute.

Ostium sat down with a layer of Ice forming on his Clothes and up his Arm. He hit the Ice with the Hilt of his Dagger Shattering it. He drank one of his Health Potions and catched his breath for a short while.

Not wanting this Dangerous Man to be in close proximity of Dragonbridge Ostium pulles out the small Vial of Venom he brewed earlier. He took an Arrow out of his Quiver and dripped it onto the Arrowhead. It had an almost Resin like stickyness to it enveloping the Arrowhead in a Dark green color. He snuck back into range of the Mage placed his Aim, breathed out and let the Arrow go. It hit the Mage right in the Stomach. Startled, the man stumbled back a few steps and spotted Ostium. He took a few Steps and fell over onto his side breaking the Arrow off on Impact.

Ostium Investigated the bodys finding a small deer antler on the Mage and more Red topped mushrooms arround the Stone Circle. He Also found a Book next to an Alchemy Station "Mannimarco: The King of Worms" he flipped through the pages and put the Book along with the Ingredients into his Satchel Bag.

Ostium went back to Dragonbridge to spent the Night at the Four Shields Inn.

Roleplay : I take my time when i Brew Potions depending on how complex the procedure is.

I dont Skin Animals since it wouldnt be in his Skillset.

I Harvest Ingredients with my dagger.

I leave my Equipment in my rented Room until i need it.

Im doing research on Medieval Alchemy and a few other things. ^^ I restricted Myself to 25 Arrows per Quiver and extra Quivers take up Inventory space so i can carry less.
