Thank you very much, I appreciate the gesture

The only way I could think of to transform this metaphorical like into a real one would be to share your excitement for this little piece of content of mine with others, eventually someone you sent over will want to put a +1. So go ahead and spread the joy of the Totem Paths.

    Ok I'll stop

    LOL!

If someone I know is planning on starting a playthrough and doesn't have a solid idea  towards building their character, I will give them this very link! This build will hit legendary rank in no time! That's what I'm talkin' about

Best of luck with your creative additions, I look forward to the next one.

Blah, lol, now it is offical. One of those you read and are like this is awesome and I thought I had commented, but I didn't.

A very ambitious build and with your typical style for the artwork.

I am sorry I missed this as it is very good. I particularly like the whale, and Tsun is the dude!

Over the years the whales had grown less common and this made the prices of whale produce climb. As a result a lot of warriors and sailors headed out to hunt down these magnificent creatures, yet only a few returned alive. The rest had been swallowed whole by the sea of ghosts. It might even have gotten it's name from these events come to think of it.

It didn't take long for the ancient nords to associate the whale hunt with Sovngarde and soon Tsun was born.

    Brilliant interpretation!

Also, the Dibella path sings to me:

However this was not the only thing the nords observed about this creature: they quickly noticed that in opposition to it's diurnal brethren the lunamoth was all but herbivorous. Instead of drinking nectar these creatures would eat other insects and sometimes would even parasitize them. The idea of these beautiful creatures being so merciless in their killing sparked the belief that beauty always comes with strength. This translates , to this day, in Nord architectural works, and has become a rule that many nord woman live by, and something they have gotten quite a reputation for. It might even be the reason why women are respected just as much as men in nord society.

What?! Lunar Moths are killers? Did not know that! The extrapolation you have made from that is just perfect.

As for the art, very cool to see Norse imagery and Celtic knotwork used to enhance the Nordic theme, the whole being more than the sum of its parts while each part still remains both interesting to read and lovely to look at. I would really like to see more Totems added. Great work!

Well there's no specific lore on Lunar moths being killers but I went off of Moths in the real world for this. Actually living off of Nectar is often difficult for nocturnal animals as a good amount of flowers close for the night leaving most of the nectar unaccesible. As such most moths have very different feeding patterns from their dirunal cousins the butterflies. I simply adapted some of the real life moth stuff to the TES moths.

Anyway thanks for your kind words Phil.

Taking from the real world is all that can be done and exactly what Bethesda's writers do anyway :D I'd like to see you turn that towards the ancestor moths too. My god are they fascinating!

I hope you add to this with new Totem Paths and continue with the interpretations. They are a font of inspiration, an Ayleid Well of magicka :)
