Yeah, no Alchemy can be very tough! I almost cracked when I had found several canis roots and other paralysis ingredients and arrived at an Alchemy Lab. Had to drop the stuff and force myself not to pick up any ingredients. Least I've found your weaknesses though ;) Jokes aside, many thanks mate. I did mean Redguard Clothes, as in Nazir's stuff. With the Shrouded stuff it looks amazing, I'm fairly sure I got the look from an Ocean Splitter combo in NOACC. Quiet Casting has always been my bane when playing a stealth mage. Most of the time I don't like playing illusion, since it becomes ridiculously OP on a stealth build. It's a bit of a pain having to invest those four perks, but very rewarding in the end. I'm also fairly sure I'm completely silent from quite an early level, but I'm considering bumping up the level to 50 and adding in a couple of the perks you've mentioned like Apprentice Illusion and Restoration Dual Casting. And I've just been reading James' stuff, really interesting. I'll see what I can do, maybe incorporate some holy justice in this vigilante style build. Like I said, I'll possibly update the perkspread to incorporate some more tactics. Unfortunately I don't have access to the console, and now that you mention it I'll ask around in Tips and Tricks, see if Nik, Vaz or James can help get these numbers confirmed. Even if they're a bit off, you're moving bloody fast. So much so that the attack animation when dual-wield attacking seems to glitch a bit and not actually finish, then sometimes go into a second attack like Soneca points out in his Advanced Melee Corner. As a result of playing on xbox, I'm unable to get screens or a vid, though if a PC player would oblige in making a quick one that would be awesome. Alastor inspired that Ashen Tomb combo. He uses a similar thing on his Transient Sorcerer. Speaking of which, I need to credit him... Definitely going to add some stuff in tomorrow. Anyway, sorry for the long reply, cheers man! Great to hear this kind of praise from the big names, and I always like seeing your analytical replies and interpretations on my builds. You and Shin are the guys who always comment on stuff, and it's great to have that kind of encouragement. I was worried about this seeming too OP, especially after the hype it drummed up on the preview picture (I rarely get 20 or so likes on teasers), but I'm glad it was received so well. Thanks again!

True, true. Zippy Hashashin must be awesome, I'll need to try that!

Holy shit I thought I was dreaming when I saw that picture. Dude said it was a speed paint, 20 minutes or something. Phenomenal! Makes me want to start a Deviantart account simply to congratulate him/her. Like I said to Teccam, I always love seeing the inevitable Shinjin reply, it's what makes you such a great host. You're supportive and that's all that matters! Yeah, Sneak Illusion can be a bore, and I always try to keep that kind of thing to a minimum. Did the same for my Prowler, but had to adjust that when Vaz gave me a wicked idea for a special move. And these balanced builds are becoming my new favourite thing, it's great playing those such high risk high reward toons. Thanks again, I'm flattered to see this being so well accepted. I haven't seen these kind of comments since the Skaal Crudader! :)

Cheers Phil! Yeah, the game had a fit the first time I did this, and I think I did too. :D It's freakishly fast, something like four times swing speed anyway. The dual-wield power attacks are insane, your character does a little spin and the enemy just falls over or is staggered like crazy. It's awesome!

I'll admit it. I started to skip the math. I've played that particular broken mechanic before (DA + Dual Wield + Dual Flurry + Elemental Fury + Necromage) but I've always felt the game becomes incredibly easy after you attain it. With this build, though, there might be enough downsides to really make this viable.

What else can I say? Great theme, atmosphere, a fantastically broken ability, and a nice little patch of lore behind him. Definitely +1

Cheers Elysium! Yeah, the maths (British :P) isn't the most revolutionary, it's just some separate mechanics I thought hadn't been used fully thus I just had to combine them! And those downsides definitely balance it, no head on rushing with this guy.

This made me think of a build - we've got desert 'wraiths' who are mobile assassins, like yours and Henson's, but what about an ice assassin, who uses ice form to paralyze his enemies..??
