Character Build: The Nord Warmage

A light armored version should work just fine, but the Deathbrand boots and gauntlets have enchantments that barely help this build. You'd be better off enchanting your own. I thought about making it a light armor build, but the heavy armor masks are much more useful to the warmage in my opinion, especially Dukaan to beef up the ice magic. Morokei would be helpful but not provide much AR, you'd have to compensate by healing a lot more, which would work fine but be labor intensive.

Thanks! The fun thing is that it has enough versatility that you're never bored with any one thing.

Thanks man, I was thinking of doing a Dunmer variant of this with a bow and maybe use the Atronach forge for some daedric armor

This is amazing. Tom. It combines my favorite class, a battlemage, with the awesomeness of the Clever Craft, love it

I wish I could give this build another like. It is exactly how I envision the ancient Nord practice of the clever craft. Although this build uses many skills, like you said, they are perked very efficiently and without making the build become too OP.

This is my current main character build (under the name Janek Isoldir, Janek being my name in the Nordic tongue I've been told). Guys a badass, and he was Neutral all the way up until I decided to get the Ring of Erudite......and then he went Gandalf the Black on me. But I've used what was going to be a Temporary transformation into a defining character flaw/blessing. The guy can/will do anything to further his goal of promoting magic throughout Skyrim. At the slightest provocation, he will slaughter an entire village and move on (I had this happen with Kharjo's Khajiit caravan.....Sorry Kharjo). Combining this with Gauldur's Amulet and the Aetherial Crown which is paired with the Lord Stone and the Atronach stone: This guy is putting out over 500 Magicka points. Hes one of the most powerful mages that I've had, and he's a Nord! Incredible
