Gadfrey, I loved that build... my first dual wield.

A great looking sequel to your songbird build Sadly since I don't have Dragonborn DLC I don't think I can really play this build as much as I want too :(

You *can*, but you will be missing out on whirlwind cloak, the other things it brins to

Yeah I could play it but as you say without Whirlwind cloak I'd be missing out on the tactical gameplay the build uses with it xD

Turned out really well, Zach. I might even have to plug in the 360 to give this a run myself!

I love the "desert Gandalf" combo of the staff of Chain Lightning + Windshear. Stun literally anything, every time, with either hand? Yes please. We don't have many sword/stave builds on the site, which is a real shame since that's such an awesome fighting style. Same goes for "wind magic" builds. I can only think of a couple off-hand, but it's a really interesting dynamic and a welcome change of pace from the classic elements.

One question for you, and I think this may have come up in our PMs a few weeks back — but what (if anything) do you do to impose some limits on this setup? With so many means of staggering, disarming, and ragdolling your opponents, it would be very easy to take this "too far" and become more or less godlike. Some people like that, but what about for people who like more of a risk and reward setup?

    Couple of minor errors:

    - It's spelled scimitar, not schimitar

    - I notice you mention drinking a potion of Fortify Restoration before equipping the Amulet of Talos, to get 50% Fortify Shouts rather than 40%. I assume this is also including the Blessing of Talos? Just clarifying, because you didn't list the latter under "Magical Effects."

Again, very well done, Zach. Easy +1 from me.

For power limiting I found just playing on an appropriate difficulty balanced it. Before Windshear the build was pretty damn hard, I played only on expert. After Windshear I played on master. After a bit I switched to Legendary and it felt right.

Also, the armor rating is not that great, especially when you usually have a relatively low amount of health. Dragon fights were extremely difficult in general. Also a general lack of magical defense made it challenging ( wards clash with the weapon set-ups unless sitting there waiting for a dragon to land).

As with a lot of builds. It starts out petty hard, then it balances, and by later levels only the hardest enemies are truly dangerous, as it should be.

I did not drink the potion before the blessing of talos, you have to re-apply it relatively often so it is not worth it.

Nice one Zach! The inclusion of Dark Brotherhood is somewhat strange for a protector of travelers, but it is unfortunately required to get the Windshear. I'm curious, how you roleplayed the DB questline? I also found a little mistake. You have:

Leave the ebony dagger enchanted so that you can use elemental fury.

So is this that overpowered build you were talking about before? If it is, you surely beat me to it lol. This is great man. Good work yet again!

I role played it as my character having to do terrible acts to show his unquestionable loyalty. The Aedea are not altruistic after all, even though many think so.
