I wanted to build a frost warrior like this before but it was a DiD and I ragequit after dying at level 10 ^^

But I think your version is better, maybe I'll try it this way. I think Frost Cloak is the most viable spell for this build. Nice presentation, by the way. +1

This is a very nice build Teccam and I like the Cursed Ring trick which I'd never heard of before.

     +1, I'll review properly later!

Thanks Phil.  You used to be able to do that trick with the Ring of Namira as well, but that was patched.  Luckily I stumbled upon this one while play testing my last build.  I'm not sure if it's been noted anywhere else online yet actually, because I never bothered to submit it to UESP after I found it.  I had thought about incorporating the Cursed Ring as a full aspect of the build, but Paul England's Vargr does that already, so I decided to drop it.

Do you have a build in the works at all?  Your last one was really great and I keep wondering if we'll get to see any more from you!

Thank you!  Incidentally, I also struggled the most at those early levels.  Block isn't developed enough to really help you too much, and whatever light armor you're using will be weak, especially without a decent Enchanting level to help buff your gear.

Frost Cloak is a blast, and especially useful as it carries over into beast form.  But I had the most fun with Freeze.  It seems like everyone always takes the RIng of Arcana for Ignite (which, to be fair, is crazy powerful).  But guaranteed slow for 15 seconds, plus stagger from Impact, and a very respectable damage output after accounting for Dukaan, Dual Casting, and Augmented Frost.  It ends up being deceptively powerful.  And at a very low Magicka cost to boot.  That was easily my most used spell with this guy.

Get this trick submitted to Ponty and Nik's Tips and Tricks ready for their next showcase - it's a great find!

What do the names of your greatswords mean Teccam? I like them!

I'm working on an Altmer hero build called the Knight of the Crystal Tower. I was heavily inspired by Tim Faroe's Knight and Vix's Order of the Twin Serpents when I started playing but I think there is enough uniqueness about it to warrant it's own build. Thanks for asking!

Love the no direct healing aspect and use of Freeze spell! The Ahzidal's ring use is nice too and inclusion of two-handed for enemies immune to frost! +1

My only question is why not use full set of Skaal Armor? The boots and gauntlets give the same protection and weigh less than Stormcloak Officer ones. Plus you'll be able to take the Matched Set perk.

Thanks Vaz.  I chose the armor just for the aesthetic.  The extra AR from Matching Set is really unnecessary by the time your Light Armor gets high enough to unlock the perk, and I thought the Stormcloak Officer boots and bracers worked well visually with the Skaal Coat, giving the appearance a bit more nastiness to help reflect the beast within.  There's no pragmatic reason for the decision though, so by all means it would be a fine choice to use the full Skaal set.

And good catch with the two-handed as a substitute for enemies who resist frost.  In the early stages of play testing, I was going to have the Silver Greatsword with Fire Damage and Fiery Soul Trap.  But I preferred to keep the frost theme as untarnished as possible, and ultimately it became clear that there are enough other methods of dealing with enemies who resist frost.

Awesome, I'll be looking forward to it!  I've thought a bit about writing a full-on werewolf build for the Tips and Tricks group.  It would be a lot of work though, so I'm not sure yet.  But who knows?

The names came from old Norse and Icelandic words I found from searching around online.  There's no proper conjugation, and I'm not even sure the words I found were necessarily correct, since I'm unfamiliar with the languages.  But roughly, they mean:

    · Folvindr = Pale Wind

    · Svellbrandr = Blade of Ice

    · Kalastyra = Freezing Swing
