Character Build: The Montalion

Perhaps that's what I was doing all along in my tests, without actually documenting it properly.  I wrote that part of the build at least a week ago.  In any case, we agree it can be done.  I'll re-phrase that paragraph to make the process more clear.

And of course you can use it in your build, man.  Sharing is caring!

Oh stop, you're making me blush!

Seriously though, I really appreciate the positive feedback.  Thanks Bryn, Vaz, AJ, MrFamous, and everyone else who I think I already replied to addressing specific questions/comments.

When you had the ring of namira equipped, got the cursed ring, and then equipped ahzidals ring, did you end up with both namira and ahzidals ring permanently added after requipping ahzidals?

No, like I said before, the original glitch with Namira's Ring seems to have been patched.  I tried multiple times using multiple methods, and was not once able to keep the effects of Namira's Ring after acquiring the Cursed Ring.

So what I did was to use the glitch to gain the effects of Ahzidal's Ring permanently, and to alternate my actively equipped ring between the Ring of the Erudite and Namira's Ring as needed (with the former being used probably about 90% of the time).

I see. Didn't realize they patched the namira ring glitch. Thanks for explaining things. Hope this build gets more attention Btw, why the name change? Your old name had built a solid reputation.

Oh come on, dude, you figure out how to make Bound Swords exponentially more powerful and you don't make a Shehai-wielding Redguard?! Ah, but seriously amazing build. I love multi-aspect builds like this, that basically give you two playstyles in one. Love it!

Hah, my last build was a Redguard largely inspired by the Ansei (unfortunately written and tested before I found the double fortification potion that this build uses), so I felt it was prudent to branch out a bit.  I did mention the shehai though!

That potion is nuts powerful, it's orc rage in a bottle...

Upto 120% more one handed damage from one brew. You have to train your eyes to hunt out those canis roots, but you can sniff them out pretty easy once you learn where they like to live. You could obviously shop for them but for a potion that powerful I felt it was worth earning them the proper way...

My previous build was also running slow time/stability so I was using my 24 seconds of slow time with the crossbow then switching back to one handed for the remaining 45 seconds of potion time. It hurts a ton and you get great mileage out of what is possibly the best potion in the game.

Yeah, it's an awesome potion for sure, and that's a really creative use for it.  I just grew Canis Root in my Hearthfire home.  Easy enough to get a dozen or more samples every three in-game days.

I think I was actually getting roughly 4x damage from the dual-effect potion at its peak: Necromage, of course, boosts the magnitude of each effect by 25%, and I was using one or two pieces of Fortify Alchemy gear when I made the potions.  Even better when you consider that Necromage extends the potion's duration by 50%.  This build was in a perfect position to gain the full benefit of that potion.
