    PS4 players unite!

The thing is, if we don't have servers where we could set a few rules, for example... There's no guarantee that your game wouldn't become an annoying wasteland with all those nukes. That settlement you guys dedicated yourselves for over a month? Gone. Destroyed by the army of 9yrs olds.

Eh, from what I could tell the nukes would be tough, but yeah I think it'd be a pain in the ass if we couldn't have our own server/s. That said, it'd be kinda fun if we ran our own servers for different game modes, you know "Nuke Rush" where we all build a base, rush to grab a nuke and blow the other players up. Wouldn't be fun normally but if we could set aside a server and run that like an Event, very fun indeed. Tough to manage with us Aussies getting involved, but still fun.

The more I think about it the more I assume they'll do servers for this. Just makes perfect sense IMO.

Something I just realised it that it will probably require Playstation Plus to play online, unless Bethesda has their own subscription service in mind. On the up side if you don't have Plus you'd get forced single player

I think you might need Plus regardless if you wanted to play. Even the single player stuff is still online, and not really entirely single player-y. Could be wrong of course, won't know until the Beta?

Yeah, if they do servers right, this could become huge. Especially for the Vault. We could take roleplaying to the next level - our own factions, story, and... in-game events. We need more details, though.

Shit, just noticed the BETA requires a pre-order...not sure if I'm willing to commit to that right now to be honest.

Monster Hunter World was always online, however if you didn't have Plus you still joined a server and could talk (I think) to other players you just couldn't play with them. So if they do something similar you probably just wont be able to join other people's servers without the subscription. They'd be moronic to prevent people from playing if they don't have Plus (or Xbox Gold) especially after they emphasised that you could play on your own.

Fair point Goldie, hadn't really kept up with MH:W so I assumed that online games still followed the same normal formula of needing to have Plus/Gold.

    Oh.

There's no way I'm preordering after Fallout 4 and the Season Pass. I'll leave the testing to others, then.

Something I thought of - for those on PC using Discord would prob be pretty useful.

You know, the more I think about it the more I hope we can create our own servers or something similar. I mean, imagine being able to create the Tamriel Vault Dwellers (Name is obviously a W.I.P) and then create different servers for different purposes. We could set up Free-For-All PVP, Nuke-Rush (which I explained earlier), Roleplaying Servers, run special servers for event months that do crazy things, set up 'Raids' which essentially just mean finding targets and launching completely unprepared attacks on them where we're like...base weapons and they're insanely powerful.

Just a few ideas but I'm really gunning for this.
