Hmm, I thought you'd resurrect Edel. Interesting story though. Such a lovely dad, I have a feeling that he will yet make an appearance in the future.

So, here is mine. This gal has been waiting for her turn for quite some time and I didn't get to play her.

    Name: Deathbell or just Bell

    Race: Altmer

    Sex: Female

    Age: 73 (born in 4E 128)

    Place of birth: Lillandril, Alinor

    Alignment: Neutral (I think)

    Profession: Thief, a former merchant

Background: A second child in a family of wealthy merchants, Bell has spent her childhood assisting her mother in the family shop. Even as a young girl she demonstrated an affinity for accounting and an intuition that promised to make her a very successful merchant in the future. Her father, however, had different plans, and when she grew older, he insisted that she join the Thalmor. That didn't quite work out, due to her lack of both the motivation and the magical talent, but during her time in Alinor, she met people who showed her a shadier but much more exciting side of life.

Personality: Bell is an adventurous soul, always up for some risky affair, but she is by no means reckless. Quite the opposite, she is careful and calculating, and goe on those dubious affairs as prepared as possible. She is an extrovert, enjoys being around people and knows how to use her charm to and her pretty looks to the greatest benefit. She likes beautiful dresses and all sorts of girly things and the stares of delight and awe from the men of all races elevate her mood quite significantly. Life is one big game to her, and what is the point of playing a game if not for fun?

Religion: She isn't exactly what one would call religious, but she respects the Eight and their teachings.

Political views: Politics generally don't interest her, though she favors the Aldmeri Dominion over the Empire because she thinks that Imperials are stupid barbarians.

The reason for being in Skyrim: Bell is looking for her ex-boyfriend to retaliate for what he did to her.

Skills: Major: Speech, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Sneak. Minor: Archery, Alchemy, Destruction, Illusion.

I'll add a screenshot of her when I'll have a chance to open my Skyrim.

    Adar

    The Basics
    Race: Redguard (Male)
    Born: Northern Alik'r Desert, Hammerfell
Alignment: Lawful Neutral (with a personal leaning toward Neutral Good)
Profession: Former Ash'abah, now slave to Peryite

    Background
Adar awoke in cold sweat and sharp pain. He had simply jumped from one nightmare into another. He thought back over the previous months to the events that changed his life forever. As an Ash'abah, he was tasked with clearing out mausoleums from any abominations that might take up residence there. It was while performing this routine task that the unthinkable happened. He was walking through one of the burial halls, torch, and sword in hand when his eyes caught motion. The flickering light of the torch had jumped too quickly for him to make out any details, but Adar knew he was not alone. His grip tightened on the sword's hilt as he drew it up into a striking position. Suddenly, the creature was upon him. Its claws sank deep into Adar's thigh as he brought his scimitar down on its arm. The scimitar swung through the air and completely severed the arm. Adar knew something was wrong since the limb gave little resistance to his swing. Within seconds, he had dealt numerous blows to the creature-- its limbs and body parts scattered around the floor like some macabre puzzle.

"What was that," he thought to himself. He waved the torch over the remains, trying to identify the creature. It resembled an embalmed corpse, though shriveled and distorted. He thought about necromancy, but this was unlike anything he had seen before. Suddenly, pain shot through his leg and abdomen, causing Adar to collapse on the floor. He quickly uttered a healing cantrip, but no relief came. Panicked, he created a cloth tourniquet and tied it around his thigh. The pain only grew as Adar passed out.

While unconscious, Adar had a vision. A small, almost playful green dragon approached him. "Fear not, mortal," it said. "I have chosen you to be my steward. You will restore order to my house."

    "What are you," replied Adar.

The dragon melted away, leaving a half-decomposed skeever. "Why, I am Peryite, your master. I have blessed you with my touch. You have a gift that you can share with the world." The skeever smiled and disappeared.

Suddenly, Adar was jarred awake by pain. It was a dull, throbbing throughout his body. He looked down at his thigh and saw the tourniquet removed. His bleeding had stopped, but his thigh was discolored. He slowly got to his feet and began walking back to the entrance, pain throbbing with every step.

Days later, after several more interactions with Peryite, Adar began making his way toward Cyrodiil. He could never return to his tribe now. He was Peryite's slave, motivated by the pain that flowed through him. His body now showed the signs of sickness and the few people he encountered minimized their exposure to him if they didn't avoid him outright. His hands had hardened some, causing his manual dexterity to greatly suffer. He would never wield a scimitar again, though he could slowly scribble down almost unrecognizable notes. He wanted to capture what had happened so that one day his tribe would know the truth.

    Personality
Adar is friendly and helpful, though he isn't opposed to doing whatever is necessary to "get the job done." (This is his leaning toward neutral good.) As a former Ash'abah, he has always been an outsider to most people, save his tribe. He is also self-sufficient, has a hatred for necromancers, and will actively destroy the undead. However, with Peryite's "blessing," Adar now struggles with a conflicted conscience. His touch can temporarily reanimate the dead (though some disease-like ability) and he now avoids people as much as possible as a means to protect them from himself. Driven by pain and visions, he now does the will of Peryite.

    Religion
Not very religious, though he paid homage to Tu'whacca (similar to Arkay). Now, Adar follows the leading of Peryite (though he isn't a devout worshiper). RP: He will never pray at the shrines of the divines.

    Political Views
Adar isn't political at all. He sees politics as infighting and backstabbing, rather than actually helping your people. However, he has a dislike of the Thalmor (given their recent war with Hammerfell) and starts as somewhat sympathetic to the Stormcloaks. He knows how the Imperials abandoned Hammerfell.

    Why Skyrim?
Peryite has directed Adar to head to Skyrim through Cyrodiil, though he doesn't know why. Adar was caught by an Imperial patrol while crossing the border, along with some Stormcloaks and a horse thief. As a joke, the Imperials sat Adar next to Ulfric Stormcloak, hoping that Ulfric might catch something from Adar.

Skills (Adar's old skills are gone and Peryite is "teaching" him new skills):
Major: Conjuration, Restoration, Speech, Light Armor
    Minor: Alteration, ?, ?, ? (TBD)

    Other Items

    • Cantrips: Healing, Raise Zombie (only usable on foes that Adar "infects" with his fists) - for the Grimoire Challenge :-D
    • Never use cure disease potions or pray at the shrines of the divines.
    • Hatred of Vaermina and Mephala and their worshippers.
    • Ok with Kynareth and her worshippers.

Aw, I like this one. And the Ash'Abah in general. My favorite Redguards ever.

he now avoids people as much as possible as a means to protect them from himself

    Poor fellow.

He sees politics as infighting and backstabbing, rather than actually helping your people. However, he has a dislike of the Thalmor (given their recent war with Hammerfell) and starts as somewhat sympathetic to the Stormcloaks. He knows how the Imperials abandoned Hammerfell.

Lol. He just hasn't been to Windhelm yet.

Very interesting what will happen to him in Skyrim.

*4 major and 4 minor skills (maximum) according to your chosen profession and background. You can level only these skills and take perks only in the major ones. You can add one more skill if you join a faction, but only a skill that suits that faction i.e. combat skills for the Companions, stealth for the Thieves Guild, magic for the College of Winterhold, etc. The Main Quest doesn't add a skill because it already gives you Shouts.

Ok, is the added faction skill considered major or minor?  I also assume skill book leveling doesn't count against these skills.  Since we can't level non-skilled skills, does that force us to completely ignore skills which would normally level "automatically?"  For example, I can never pick a lock unless I choose Lockpicking, or crouch unless picking Sneak?

I might consider a slightly less restrictive approach.  Something like major skills can always be perked.  Minor skills can only be perked at levels divisible by 5, and non-major or minor skills can never be perked.  That gives the character 8-9 skills to perk across his lifetime, as well as allows other non-selected skills to level through general play.  I will almost always scout out some location crouching, even when playing non-sneaking characters.

Just a thought.  I'll wait for your response before taking Adar further into the story.

i will need to wait too.

With those Rules only Characters with smithing could build a House or Never sell things without Speechcraft. I would restrict the Amount of points you have for Minor skills. Something like 5 Across all youre Minor Skills or only up to a specific Skill lvl since you are not to good at those Skills ^^

About Edel. I didnt think i could use him ^^ i will continue him after Ostium is done :)

Regarding Ostium. He is in the Winking Skeever right now with a Hunting Bow, 20 Arrows, An Iron Dagger, unenchanted expert robes wiith gloves brown boots and a Alikr Hood for Rain. he has 200 Gold and a few Alchemy ingredients (mostly Flowers) he gathered on his way to Dragonbridge. ^^

Amazing idea, Thorien, I'm loving these type of threads, might even look about introducing a new tag if this one picks up as well.

If I could make a request, do you think you'd be able to add a little bit about what RP choices you made in each section posted, just to get this a bit more away from the Story Corner and towards Roleplaying? Doesn't need to be big, or even on every entry, in fact a reminder on the main post would do to remind people to mention how they roleplayed.

How exactly do you mean that Zonnonn? ^^  Example would help ^^

    Day 1:

Adar looked around at the Imperials, Stormcloaks, and common folk.  The words, “Next, the Redguard,” echoed in his mind.  He didn’t understand why Peryite had led him here, only to be killed by some Imperial executioner.  At least his suffering would end swiftly.  He walked up to the chopping block and quietly took his place.  Suddenly, out of nowhere, someone yelled, “Dragon!”

The attack came swiftly and brutally.  Fire and exploding stones rained down everywhere.  One Stormcloak, a Nord named Ralof, called out to him.  This was the same man who had conversed with Adar earlier in the back of the cart headed to Helgen.  He seemed to look past Adar’s appearance to the man he truly was.  Adar followed behind the beckoning man.  Looking up to the sky before entering the tower Adar thought to himself, “Could this dragon be Peryite?”

Minutes seemed like hours in the surreal environment.  Eventually, Adar met up again with Ralof, and the two of them entered the keep.  Adar followed Ralof through the keep, punching his way through the Imperials and struggling to keep up.  “If only I could wield a weapon again,” Adar muttered to himself.

Eventually, the two of them made it out of the keep and through a cave.  In all the chaos, Adar’s pain had slipped from his mind.  Now, however, it began to return.  Confused about what just happened, Adar continued to follow Ralof.

They arrived in a small town called Riverwood.  Upon entering it, the eyes of the citizens quickly began assessing Adar and his sickly appearance.  He pulled the hood he had found tighter around his head, though his pain increased.  Adar made no eye contact with anyone as they headed toward the lumber mill.

Gerdur, Ralof’s sister, greeted the two men.  While immediately repulsed by Adar, she quickly overlooked his appearance when Ralof told her how Adar had helped him and even saved his life.  She handed him the keys to her house, though Adar vowed to himself to just rest up before heading out.  He didn’t want to risk getting the family sick, especially since they had shown him hospitality.

Skill(s) leveled: Speech (major skill) only

    RPing Aspects:

Adar will not sleep in someone’s house as to protect them from sickness.

Adar is viewed with fear and disgust, given his facial sores and generally sickly appearance.  He always tries to hide his face.

Adar also uses gloves around people.  He takes them off only when he must fight.  Remember, he apparently infects those he touches (and can then reanimate them for a short time, should they die).

    Next Steps:

Head to Whiterun and warn the Jarl about the dragon.  He wants to do what Gerdur asked of him.  The city will be crowded so he will need to keep to himself and ensure he is fully covered.

Adar will also get rolled paper and charcoal as soon as possible to begin journaling everything.  His goal is to eventually let his tribe know what has happened.

He wants to learn more about this dragon.  Was it Peryite?  It certainly wasn't like the dragon in his visions.

The faction skill is like major, with perks (edited in the main post). Skill books don't count. You can't significantly level a skill you don't use just with books anyway.

You can build a house without smithing if you buy everything instead of making it yourself. Or just buy a house. Or use a house from a mod.

You make a point. I didn't think of it. Normally, if I know I'll use a skill so often that it'll level significantly, like past 30, I just include that skills in the major/minor. For example, my main doesn't normally use conjuration as in summoning, he only has Soul Trap. But he uses it often, so I made it a minor skill for him. And Speech too. After all, in real life, if you often sell things to merchants, you also will have high speech)))

On the other hand, if you know that you won't use it enough that it will level much, you can just disregard it like the skill book points and pretend that it's not there.

Uh.... Basically the only thing that remotely connects this to the Story Corner is that you should write entries about your character's progress. All the rest is RP.
