Ooooh....not quite unlimited power, but I’m close. 7352. In fairness, only 461 of that is pretty. The rest is a hot fucking mess, and I expect my count tomorrow to be in double digits.

Waaahh! Now I'm feeling less good about myself. My speed is wearing off too, and I probably won't get any writing done today.

Well you know what they say about those who start early... They get tired real quick... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Also, just an idea that might contribute to you guys' word count as well as something for TSC. What about we do a Halloween event where we write spooky stories?

Honestly I don’t know if I’ll have time to write something else, but never say never, right? I’m not really feeling it today, either. I want to write, but my house is a mess. I’m a minimalist and don’t like things sitting around my house, but I live with a husband and daughter who love having all their stuff out, on display, easily accessible, etc., and it’s making me crazy. I sit down to write only to jump up a few minutes later to put more and more and more stuff away.

Yesterday my word count was 200. Today it’s 5260. Apparently I’m an intermittent fasting writer, or something like that. We’ll see if that trend turns into a pattern.

I did go to the nano meetup here in town. It was weird. Hardly anyone spoke at all, even people who knew each other IRL. I’m not sure what I expected, maybe introductions at least? It might have made things a little more comfortable. As it was, it was 2 hours of complete silence, just tapping keys. Maybe it was motivating, though, since I did write a bunch. I’ll give it another shot. Maybe the next one will be more comfortable.

They didn't even introduce themselves? Huh. I always thought of writing as an entirely solitary act, something done as far away from others as possible. But if I went to a meetup, I'd at least expect a "Hi, my name is." Did you get the 5260 done at the meetup?

Total word count right now for the month is 16207, which includes Karva-jo's because of the collab. Cheaaaaats!

    Also Legion is bak? Wawahway!

i got about 3000 done there. Which is nice. I guess when you’re trapped in a room with 12 other writers typing away, maybe it pressures you a little more to type too? No clue. and yeah, “my name is” would have been nice, espeically since we’re all in a FB group and everything. The next one is at a bakery, so maybe people will be a little less uptight around coffee and pastry. It did surprise me, the level of quiet, though, because the organizers (who were at the library and never looked up) are always posting in the group that they’re writing at this comic shop, or that hobby shop, places where you wouldn’t expect writers to go write. Or, I wouldn’t, at least.

Total word count is 14,032, not including today, which has been rough (I might be able to do 400 words, maybe) because my husband and kid are home. And he’ll be home on Friday, and she’ll be home on Monday, and there’s Thanksgiving in the mix, too. Who the hell decided November was a good time to write with all those damn holidays?

I'm always the slow burner of the group, I guess, but so far 8562 words and a chapter has been published at Tamriel Vault. Straag is alive again. I accomplished my first goal which was to at least get a chapter published. With that done, I can set my sights perhaps a wee bit higher and see if I can complete Straag Book 1, Part 2 and publish by November's end.

We'll see. I'm already happy enough that I'm writing again. That the creative juices are flowing.

Thanks to Karver and Harrow for helping me get over the writers block that was very, very bad.

That's what I was thinking. Pressure, camaraderie, or competition. Interesting about the comic and hobby shops though. When I used to play Magic a lot, I'd play at the local shop with friends. We'd see the occasional person come in alone and deck build, but never a writer. Maybe it's the atmosphere? Having white noise of people chatting and moving about seems like a somewhat popular thing. There's even videos on YouTube of hours of library white noise, coffee shops, and so on. Hopefully it's more relaxed next time. Seems like an incomplete day without at least a post-writing chat about the thing you all just did together.
