I did run a few tests a couple minutes ago, and the shout will work on enemies taking tentacle damage. However, the tentacles will despawn immediately when the target freezes. Also, you can't make any further tentacles spawn on the targets when they are frozen, but they will take some direct damage from pointing the staff at them.

What other race would work you think?  I already have an Altmer Vamp a la Mason's Nemesis.  Breton? Nord?

Thanks DerangedCultist, not the badass move I was hoping for then.

Good question Pablo, I'd like to know to. I would have thoght the Breton's racial powers and abilities would fit nicely but this build seems to have a high magicka requirement making Altmer ideal.

Another possibility if you are out of Magicka (since you're already collecting roe) is to use the roe to make fortify magicka potions. That effect is extremely powerful and can be used by any character to cast almost any spell without other perks/enchants. With just basic 100 alchemy (no fortify alchemy, etc) you can make potions that fortify your magicka by over 900 points for a term of roughly 5 seconds. My current character I've been using my fish hatchery to farm salmon as you describe and I've been using these crazy powerful potions to cast dragonhide before turning into a werewolf. This has allowed me to build a character with no points put into magicka at all, allowing me to take those 300-400 points and add them to my health creating a super strong beast form (currently running over 800 health plus the regen ring). Anyhow thought I'd mention the massive fortify magicka potion as an 'oh shit' option when in trouble. Just a thought.

As for the large magicka pool perhaps try something along the lines I do and focus on fortify magicka clothing (masks, archmage robes, etc) combined with alchemy and fortify magicka potions. My mage build I run is able to have a 500+ magicka pool without putting a single level-up into magicka. Might allow you to get away from an alter and try the Breton.

Read this through couple times, just want to make sure, this build doesn't utilize Conjuration or Destruction. Sorry for being retard, just used to build layouts like Ponty's or Mason's.

I suggested Altmer both for the magicka requirement and RP reasons (can't beat them when it comes to arrogance). But other races would surely work. Nord would make sense when it comes to following Miraak's footsteps, but the racials aren't that great.

Breton is a very good one: you could combine the racial resist magic with The Lord Stone and 3 points of magic resistance from Alteration. That would allow you to skip spell absorption (except the 25% from the gear) and maybe do some conjuration. But the magicka requirements would be greater, and you should then consider dropping several stamina points.

Also, Dunmer can work quite well due to the fire resist compensating vampirism. So... Any race can work, but Altmer, Breton and Dunmer are the best ones.

Yes, good point. I personaly don't like using the salmon roe potions myself, they feel almost like cheating. But maybe so does the fortify restoration one...

Conjuration will be used to a minor extent before getting Miraak's gear, but it will be rendered pretty much useless by the build later, because of the high spell absorption.
As for destruction... I did say you could use it later on, just need to get a bit more magicka. But I don't see the point of making it a primary skill, as the Thu'um will pretty much do its job better, and Miraak's weapons should be in your hands most of the time.

But I added recommendations for powereleveling them nonetheless, as some people may want the best versions of Miraak's gear.
