Hey everyone getting back into Skyrim and was trying to put together a new playstyle for myself but I feel lost. I decided to delve into conjuration and illusion with this playstyle. At the moment he is using only the atronach summons, trying to do more of a summoner build not really wanting to do necromancy with this guy, also using the bound weapons and mixing in illusions to buff my followers plus mess with my enemies. I'm using robes mixed with light armor but I may switch to full light armor for added protection unless I also pick up alteration to give myself the extra protection.

My idea was to be am illusionist that called upon the void to fight his enemies both with the atronachs and my own bound weapons. Didn't want to use any destruction spells for range was going to be picking up the bound bow possibly but wanted the challenge of a more melee-oriented caster. Any suggestions as a build I can look at that sounds similar to the type of style I am going for? I only recently hit lvl10 so far and only have points in my illusion and conjuration trees for now.

If you don't mind going vampire, I recommend Noodles's Mesmer build. It seems like it rounds out most of what you're planning, though it does also add in Alteration for utility. Vampirism adds enhanced stealth and illusion, plus Vampire Lord form if you ever do decide you want to get blasty.

Can anybody recommend a solid 2-3 skill build for a mod-free playthrough?

It's not quite 2-3 skills, but Lissette and I have a series of builds called the Pure Build Series which focus on only using a single skill. All of them (bar one) were played with mods, but designed in a way that they weren't actually requirements for the build to work, in fact I'd say they're more additions than anything else. The exception is The Winter Bear which uses Survival Mode from the Creation Club.

Would definitely recommend them, but I'm a tad bit biased there :P I'll keep trying to think of some, in fact I've got a few in mind but I need to check them to make sure they aren't Modded.

EDIT: Actually, just check out the Two in Two Event which is based on the concept of only perking two skills. There are definitely some high quality builds there of a pretty great variety and it's 'old' enough that Modded Builds still hadn't entirely taken off for Events, or at least we didn't have the same split we do these days.

@Kaprinillio - Have a look at this The Librarian's Daughter only thing coming at the top of my head there are certainly more if someone else doens't point out I 'll find a few I think.

There is also this one which is one of my build (embarassing self promote :D) The Skeleton Archer it is the opposite of the librarian's daughter using undead summons instead of atronachs and some spicy roleplay of not using healing at all. :P

Edit: Ah exactly what DB sent I was thinking there was some sort of event with few skills build but couldn't remember the name at all :D

Thanks for that, the reason I ask for mod-free is largely because as a PS4 Player I don't have access to any of the more prevalent ones. that and I want to be able to actually earn trophies lol.
