A short remark on Vancian Magic(I have no real knowledge on the matter!) The Skill overhaul mod Ordinator has a perk called Vancian Magic in it that allows a mage to cast (for 0 mana) up to 100 spells before needing to recharge himself. There are some followup perks too. Highly recommended mod, and it might expand on this build in unforeseen ways.

I'm curious as to how it works. So it allows you to cast 100 standard spells (not Greater Powers like this build) without using Magicka. How do you recharge after that? 100 spells seem really excessive. In Vancian lore wizards could hardly retain 5 spells because they were too much for one's mind to handle. This build uses about 12 spells through greater powers and has to "relearn" them after resting a day. So it parallels quite nicely. 100 spells seems like too much.

What do the follow up perks do?

Also I play on console so I'll never get to try it my self :p

From what I get from the description, you have 100 charges for any spells. So, if you were to cast firebolt 100 times, for instance, you wouldn't be able to cast any more spells until the spell counter reset. The counter resets at sleep, if I remember correctly, but it's been a while the last I read the description.

I love the concept (obviously lol) but Id have to scale it way back. Maybe like more powerful spells but limit them to four before you have to rest. Especially since there are so many damn bedrolls in Skyrim lol

Nicely done! :) I'm not a big fan of dota's invoker but you did a great job in bringing him to Skyrim.

Who? What? Huh? ...how? The only DOTA influence here is the icons. I've never played it myself but they have awesome icon artwork lol. You should have a look at the Dying Earth series though. Top knotch!

1 more like! Just gonna say it now, you're easily the master of wizard builds Al. Been rereading this and the Transient Sorcerer, and they're just awesome.

Awh, thanks Raid! I'm kind of surprised that those two builds got so popular. They are mostly based on RP gimmicks that make your Mage playthrough more challenging which was fun for me. I never thought they'd be as popular as Adrik's Wizard or Warlock that push the boundaries of Skyrim's Magic system. But I'm glad to see others enjoy them so much. I've had tons of great feedback and anecdotes and still get new comments even now. It's funny because I've been trying to get back into Skyrim for awhile. I've had restartitis quite a bit trying new builds just for fun. I finally settled on a build to play that has kept me interested from Helgen and it ended up being this build. It's quick to start up and gets powerful yet has the glass cannon element and spell limitation to keep you on your toes. I just can't get away from this game lol. Cheers Raid! Good to hear from ya :)

It's official; this build is legendary status, gimmicky and all XD. Really though this build is a very refreshing breath of fresh air from your common battlemage and does make insane power balanced with self-imposed restrictions and cooldowns to simulate what a real wizard would feel after great arcane stress.
