I'm still needing suggestions on a suitable dog...

Also, with some luck tonight I'll be posting a chapter where I deal with the wedding assassination. I've given it a bit of a twist though so with some luck...

Has anyone else added an unusual twist to a quest line in their stories? I'd love to hear about them.

    Just a regular dog?

Go grab Meeko. When you are traveling from Rorikstead towards Dragon Bridge and after you pass Robber's Gorge, make a right at the Falmer attacked carriage, heading towards Fort Snowhawk and Morthal. To your left at the forest, you'll usually see Meeko sitting by the roadside. When he sees you, he'll make a beeline for his shack. Just activate him and he'll be your follower. You can then take him wherever you need him to go.

    Here you go Lissette

An extract from the chapter. This is the scene I want to use for the screenshot.

    The Nord laughed.

“I haven’t touched him. Oh sorry, I haven’t touched that! Now girl, like I said before I was interrupted. Come here and see what a real man looks like. I’ll happily brand your ass”.

    Aela shook her head.

“Sorry, all I see by the door is a coward”.

“A coward? Me? Why you bitch, I’ll show you a coward. Oi, Argonian, get up damn you”.

Both Companions rose to their feet. Aela walked over to the man then stood there right in his face.

“Any man that keeps a dog is a coward! He hasn’t the guts to bite people himself”.

Sotek instantly grabbed her arm and started pulling her away towards the door.

“Oh no, we don’t want a fight. We’re leaving”.

Aela tugged her arm away from him.

    “I do”.

He shook his head at her then started pulling her away again.

“No you don’t, Red does and that isn’t happening”.

    No worries.

I've used Meeko quite a bit in playthroughs. Lol, I always know where the dogs are.

Good that Sotek is there to control Red.

    Speaking of extracts and plots.......

Where are you with Straag atm?

Without delving too deep because I know you like to surprise us, what have you got lined up with Albee and the Companions?

Sotek doesn't control Red that much. After a scuffle Legate Rikke steps in.

Yeah, sorry about Straag, peeps. Got into FO, have this move to plan, and the Lorc of Flowers and I have been working steadily on our second collaboration over camp NaNo. Albee has just struck a dark deal with Skjor. I am struggling mostly with editing. Some of Straag is over 2 years old now and my writing has changed a lot. So I'm deciding whether or not to go fullscale edit and overhaul or just edit for mistakes and actually come out with chapters. The perfectionist in me really wants to overhaul these chapters, but when I read through them, they don't read too badly to me, they are just not in the same style as most of part IV. I want to move on and start book 2 already, so these decisions are holding me back a bit from continuing.

Here's the first paragraph from part 2 of my new series! I'm trying to make Avarain less of a clear-cut hero than Ardolan was. Hope you like!

Avarain Hlel was, by all accounts, a rather unique Dunmer. The Hlel family was once a major player in the noble Great House Dres of the land of Morrowind, which is historically known to have been highly involved in the slave trade throughout said province. Indeed, both official records from the Era and Avarain's own journals reveal the Hlel family was responsible for managing the slaves in the entire Stonefalls region, and were therefore quite high in the Dres hierarchy. They were opposed to the Ebonheart Pact freeing the Argonians for this reason. However, despite this, and despite his own admitted dislike of the reptilian beastfolk, Avarain himself was a defender of their right to freedom. He wrote in his journal: “Though the lizard-men of the swamps are brutish, and honestly alien to most civilized races, it is obvious through their service to the Pact that they know loyalty and bravery. To continue enslaving our stalwart allies is clearly a mistake; they have more than earned to be free from our bonds.”
